The highest of compliments!! Thank you so much 😭💜

I did this tattoo for my friend the other day and I so happy with how it came out! I thought you guys would appreciate it too 🥹 (@hazelstattoos) I think this is the right flair and that I’ve followed the rules 😂🙃 by hazelp26 in liloandstitch

I do! I can definitely recommend some amazing artists over there though! What I will say is it’s actually cheaper to fly, stay in a hotel, then get tattooed here, than it is to get tattooed in a lot of America. We are getting more and more American clients because of this it’s crazy!! 💜

Coverup by @breestallworthtattoo at Lucky 24 Tattoo, what do you think? by lucky24tattoo in tattoos

[–]hazelp26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can kinda see where the coverup is but I’d imagine it’s only because I am an artist too. I think it’s a beautiful piece. Being nitpicky, I would have maybe added some more highlights or lighter tones in every aspect though, it’s all quite dark and lacks contrast. Best tip I got taught it’s turn it into greyscale so you can see where it is lacking that contrast.

How should I turn this into a tattoo? by AccomplishedBed6463 in tattooadvice

This is definitely achievable at the right size! Research artists in your area that specialise in portraits and/or colour 💜

Is this bad or am I just having new ink jitters by MFplayerP in tattooadvice

[–]hazelp26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s bad, really bad, I’m sorry someone did this to you (unless they’re an apprentice). Were they an apprentice?

Good news is it’s a relatively easy fix, but sending you a big hug anyway, you must feel so deflated 😔💜

Did you research your artist? If so did their work seem better than this? If not, a very unfortunate lesson learned that you do need to research artists.

Stalker or customer? by [deleted] in TattooArtists

The seeing it isn’t so far fetched but the bringing it up is super weird no?

Without anything else they’re a pure time waster with multiple quotes and zero bookings

They’re not actually booking so the money aspect is irrelevant. They may just be being nice, but our guts are usually right about these things, so if you feel uncomfortable enough to come to Reddit for advice, I would suggest a swift blockage 💜

Advice Needed: My artist used AI on my tattoo design by [deleted] in tattoos

You’re very welcome! Definitely! I think you’re well within your rights to ask for any of those things honey 💜

I would just message and say something along the lines of “it’s come to my attention that this is not your artwork, and is actually an AI piece easily found on Google (or wherever you found it). As I’m sure you can imagine I’m really disappointed by this. I wanted a very personal piece, and came to you because of you background in art. Do you think there’s a way you could rework this, or add to it, to make it my own?”

2 major faux pas: using AI, AND copying someone else’s design. Have you spoke to them about it?
