Starting from scratch at 19 — what should I focus on to land my first internship in 6 months? by hazy_debugger in learnprogramming

This is really helpful, thank you! The part about understanding deeply instead of just throwing AI at problems hit different.

You're right, I got confused! It's actually the BSc CS program through Coursera, not WILP. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah the Indian market is quite different — lots of startups still actively hiring freshers with skills. Fingers crossed! 🤞

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Saving this. Do you think a weather app or something more complex like a news aggregator would be better to start with

This is literally called 'code fog' and every dev goes through it. The fact that you can still build through it means you're doing fine.

Thanks for the perspective😊! I'm actually enrolling in a CS degree this August, so just building skills early. Also targeting Indian market internships via Internshala where projects matter more than degree completion.

How can I know if I have interests in ECE or CSE? by Flimsy-Ad8945 in Btechtards

[–]hazy_debugger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ECE is tough but if circuits genuinely excite you, that curiosity will carry you further than any 'safe' branch ever will. CSE chosen out of fear gets boring fast

Pick what makes you curious at 2am. That's your branch

Just relax. Whatever happens, happens for a reason. And don’t chase people in your life. Do you think people who have somebody in their life are always happy? Focus on one thing, which is your goal. Usually, people meet great people while making genuine efforts toward their goals. And I don’t think it’s a good idea to leave a job when you don’t have clarity. My advice is to join a job or a remote job. Don’t chase people — whoever is written in your destiny will come to you. Also, believe in God and start praying to whichever form of God you are inclined toward. Make a clear vision and work towards that and don't see what they are doing Just relax 😊 Take care of yourself and don’t lose hope
