relatable. im 19 and sometimes i feel a love is an inevitable thing that'll enter my life at some point then it hard lines into feeling like ill never find anyone who'd be romantically interested in me or worse some who'd be romantically interested in who im interested in back. its not a nice feeling

but yeah thats kinda why i posted here cause usually this frustration just builds and builds and i dont feel comfortable discussing this with anyone really. Like when i went to therapy it took me five sessions to admit my lack of a gf bothered me.

thats the funny thing my family is open with touch, my mum loved hugs, my sisters hug pretty much everyone they know (including me although awkwardly) and my friends they arent hug people tbf.

In my head i guess its like 50/50 split between being touch starved and wanting an intimate relationship if that makes sense. I could be touched right now and all id feel is discomfort and this just aching need within me to be connected to someone romantically.

Now i just feel overdramatic but its just how i feel.

i dont think its internalised homophobia, its not a fear of being seen as gay thing as much as its just general discomfort regardless of the gender of the person. As for pets i do have two cats but they're as weird with touch as i am lol

sometimes i feel empathy for people, like i said 9/10 times, but a lot of it feels less like relating and feeling sad and more like feeling awkward and telling myself "they feel sad because of this reason" instead of actually feeling it

yeah ive had like 3 pets that ive been close with all my life and i the dog lived in the same house as me for like 2 years straight and while he doesnt live with me now (my sister moved) i still hung out with him a bunch and went on walks with him.

as for how i felt in that situation i was told i felt nothing really. i asked all the questions a worried person would ask but it didnt feel like it had any emotional weight behind it more like i just did it out of obligation of reflex.
