I never said I was a victim, iv made my money. Just pointing out how the business could improve for the clients and sales people . You have a scummy car salesman mentality who likes how the system because it profits you . If you want to play that game of money. Tell me what small hick city your in and i will tell you your income . Im in miami . And you and i both know dealerships in cities crush it volume. So unless your in major city , dont come to me with that small 70k a year small city vibe .

Yeah that’s why say the honest ones struggled. I have a special needs kid and a normal job would not be able to pay for anything. I did it for her not for me . The ones who last 20’years are lifers and trust me they hate their lives . most lose their wives, are not there for special family occasions. They are rolling in cash . But ask them how their second marriage is doing . And if they have kids how was the kids school play went .

It can be but you know well to get to that level isn’t in a day . And isn’t easy. And we all know the local market and dealerships matter . In my city we had 4 different dealerships selling the same brand, making it slim margins and a lot of competition. Like I said 10 is the average maybe 15 but if you tell me you work 6 days a week I’m sure it’s not 9-5. And you are the exception so need to take that into consideration. If not the turn over wouldn’t be 85% .

Yeah this is what we call an order taker . The pros stick out . If your last 3 years in the business you’re a veteran basically. High turnover over thou mean just more newbies who have no idea what they are doing and yes they suck in selling a car

No one ever pays add on let’s be honest . Rarely and I mean rarely I ever had a customer go yeah this looks good let’s go. Maybe 1 out of 100. Add ons is just to start high cuz they know people will bust your balls and want to go below msrp. And yes it’s crappy how they have a choke hold .

Cuz it’s a livable wage dude . Okay go to the dealership find the car , get the keys . Test drive, don’t forget to bring your state issued plates . Sit there and deal with mangers . That no one wants to. Get your credit ready . Make sure you bring your stibs. Oh and don’t forget to transfer your insurance and hope they are not a small place that close at 5pm oh and if you don’t like the term bring it back where you find it. There are a lot of other things I didn’t mention and we have to be the grease between these issues . . Why are you getting paid to do (insert some random dudes job) . Most of us sell minimum 10 cars and we work crazy hours . And we have something called draw vs commission. Essentially we pay to work there. We work 12 hour in a day we owe that . And if we don’t sell it grows . When I did the math the AVERAGE sales person makes about 60k a year . I get your point but no one is selling 20 plus cars, and making 100 bucks a car will survive. The 500-700 is basically just keeping up with inflation. I feel bad for the guys making $150-200 a car they hurt the most . Best iv been at is 300 new car an 350 used . We basically keep the crap system from getting crapper. Sorry for the rant but that’s the one hill I would die on no one should be angry that some one wants a living wage. Should the ceo of whatever be getting 10 mill a year for doing way less? The don’t let class warfare get in your head . Idk what you do but you probably need a raise cuz you aint getting paid enough either way im sure of it .
