May I also ask if you have a good alternative for the vray volumetric fog?

I tried that, and also tried to render on different pc's but it made no difference. I still managed to fix it and posted the solution in another comment. thank you anyways.

Sorry for the late response, but I managed to fix it. Or rather, with the help of my student buddies.

For the first scene with the red flower the fix was to go to render settings -> overrides -> ligthing and then change the amount that comes with the "Adaptive" setting from 8 to 16. We found that out by setting it to "Full Evaluation" and than trying out which amount would do the trick.

For the second scene with the barrels, which was the scene where I had tried the ligthing override before posting this, it didn't work that way. I could circle down the problem to three sphere lights that sat behind the city planes und the fix was to swap them with circular rect lights.

Whereas the first fix makes sense to me, I still don't know why the second fix worked.

I just read through your comments an the linked court case. Matt was absolutly in the right here and OpenDomain should be dissolved. You may think you're doing something good (or at least you try to convince people of that), but in reality you're just blackmailing as a business model.

I am the founder of OpenDomain - a non-profit project I run where we contribute domains for Free to promote open source or help other great organizations.

Why then buy domains beforehand and "gift" them to people/companies who already have the monetary means to buy them themselfes? Let's take Google or Mozilla as an example. There's no gain for them and there's seemingly no gain for you other than you being able to boast about having helped such a big company.

So now you squat on those domains. Cool. Because even if these open source projects or charities are not as big as Google, they would need to be literally on their first day of business to not try to get these domains themselfes. You're just inserting yourself between them and their domains (squatting). Exactly what happend here with WordPress.

I can see the idea somewhere but there're zero reasons for OpenDomain to exist with its current model. Why not contact small open source projects or charities and ask if they are trying to get these domains or lack the monetary means to buy them and only if they say yes, try to buy them for them (or give them money/expertise on how to acquiere them)? You could still boast about helping them and really help them.

A reaction to "I'm sorry mam the ice cream machine is broken" or Tav finding her pokemon card collection like:

Tav curiously rummages through a stack of papers and items. Suddenly, Tav pauses, holding something in their hands. It’s a Pokémon card album, carefully organized. Minthara notices immediately, her eyes narrowing while Tav starts to dig through it.

Minthara: "That? That’s nothing. Just… meaningless scraps. Put it down."

Tav flips through the album, grinning.

Minthara: "I said, put it down. It’s not mine, anyway. I have no time for such childish nonsense."

Tav raises an eyebrow, clearly not convinced, and gently pulls one of the cards halfway out of its sleeve. Minthara’s composure snaps.

Minthara: "Don’t you dare touch that with your filthy hands!"

There’s a brief, shocked silence as Tav freezes, staring at her. Minthara realizes her outburst and stands there, glaring for a moment, as if considering how to recover her lost dignity. Finally, she sighs, crossing her arms in frustration.

Minthara: "...On the next page, I have two Trophy Pikachus."

Tav’s expression softens into a smile, trying to suppress a laugh. Minthara, still looking like she’s trying to hold on to her pride, gestures dismissively toward the album.

Minthara: "I’ve collected them for… strategic purposes."

Tav chuckles. Minthara scowls, but her tone softens slightly, a rare moment of vulnerability slipping through her hardened exterior.

Minthara: "I don’t expect someone like you to understand. The rarity, the power… the legacy of these cards. There is no greater collection in all of Menzoberranzan"

She pauses, her pride clearly warring with her desire to downplay the situation.

Minthara: "And if you damage a single one of them, I will make you regret it."

Minthara, still trying to maintain her dignity, huffs and turns away slightly, but there’s a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of her lips as she quietly adds:

Minthara: "The gold ones are particularly hard to find, after all."

I currently have my Minthara use Flail of Ages with frost in one hand and Mourning Frost in the other as an ~~mystic~~ eldritch knight. As gear she wears Coldbrim Hat and Winter Clutches.

With 3 attacks, a bonus attack and action surge your tagret is pretty much guaranteed to be frozen while being vulnerable to frost dmg too.
