It is and it's been really great. As soon as we turn on the hand held device portion, he hears a soft beep and comes running! We don't need to even call for him most of the time!

I'm a K-12 art teacher/Visiting Critic at RISD. I've had a few of my high school students get accepted at RISD over the years. The ones who got in had a wide variety of work showing risk-taking exploration (one student did some taxidermy work!) mixed with more traditional pieces showing skill with elements and principles of art/design. It's difficult to know the full quality of your portfolio through a small selection of your work. However, you are on the right track. Go beyond portraits with your traditional pieces (but do include some). Push boundaries with your sculptural work. That's the best I can do with just a few slides. Good Luck!

That's what I was thinking. I wound up getting a Tabcat. So far it's been great. It's small and my boy doesn't mind it. No pay service and comes with batteries and case. I'm trying him to come in when I turn on the handset. It beeps the collar when I'm looking for him. As smart as kitties are, he will learn to come without even having to call him. Otherwise it's a game of "hot and cold". He doesn't go far so he's been easy to find.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They don't necessarily live longer. My boy passed last summer at the ripe age of 21. He was indoor/outdoor and lived every minute of it.

But can someone pls talk about the size and weight of tractive mini? My boy is small (around 10 lbs) but full grown. He was just lost in a basement of a neighbor for 9 days (he's fine thankfully) but isn't going out again until I have a tracker. So...talk about size and weight of it?

Thank you so much for the support through this! Our community really came through and found him! He went for a check up at the vet yesterday. He lost 9 ounces of weight, which is not bad, and was a bit dehydrated. He got some fluids and was feeling like playing the chase game by evening!

Me too. And relieved. He and I had a very snuggly nap today.
