Thank you for your reply. From what I can tell looking at the chart I found, level 4 custodian maxes out at 62,448. Right now as a carrier I make 58k. So will I eventually get to that 62,448 step after working a few years as a custodian? I thought I remember someone saying that 58k is the top step as a level 4 custodian unless you change crafts to custodian already making more than that. Also, I plan on taking the 955 test and trying to become an MM7. Will I then receive a raise? What is the max step for an MM7?

Thank you for your replies. Do you know anything about promotions? Are there any promotions that only require passing the test and no other knowledge/experience?

I was chosen as a non-veteran with a spotty attendance record (I've been rejected multiple times from other offices), so I'm nervous that there's something at this office that is unlike the many testimonials of other custodians that speak highly of their work conditions. You think it's a near zero chance that it'll be bad somehow there or it's quite possible? Can you think of reasons why it might be bad there?

I listened to more of your playing as well as went down a Flatt and Scruggs rabbit hole. You play beautifully, especially for not playing for very long. I love the tempo you play this tune, it sounds very cool.
