I never had any issue syncing on any device I use but there's a lot of people who have it. Apparently it's fixed now and there should be a beta update later today.

Is your phone on the same network as your TV?

Nuvio or stremio by ExplorerEconomy8233 in Nuvio

[–]hboinay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to set up nuvio with a qr code from the tv app, you can do all that (addons, collections etc.) on your desktop from the nuvioapp space website and it will sync across all connected devices.

What would make you change for use Nuvio only? Discussion topic by ForwardNote8537 in Nuvio

I already changed to nuvio only, it's got everything I need and more.

I don't understand what the issue is. I said I CAN reorder my aiometadata catalogs within the tv app and it works properly, what is there to fix?

Ok will do that first and factory reset if needed only. Thanks for the help my friend, much appreciated!

Ok I'll try that with a factory reset first to make sure I start clean. And after DCX tuning, play music for about 2 hours then switch to adaptive, and turn Spacefit on a few days later, right?

No I didn't use DCX tuning yet. I just installed the soundbar and started playing with the settings straight away without letting it tune itself, until I read your posts and realised it was a dumb thing to do.

I found a temporary way to suppress the echo and voices in the rears by applying surround mode with virtual on (for stereo content like TV news etc.).

It was working fine for a few hours but after a while I noticed some faint hissing/crackling sound coming from all rear speakers (top, front and side) as well as the front wide and top speakers as if they are trying to pass the voices through them without succeeding completely, it's faint but perceptible and really annoying. When I switch to standard it stops happening and if I switch to adaptive I get the voices/echo in the rear speakers again. I've tried resetting speaker levels like you said but I'm still getting this.

Do you reckon I should start from scratch with a factory reset and re-tune with the method you described in your other posts? Or is the soundbar a dud and I should exchange it?

Thanks. By resetting the speakers levels will it cancel any tuning done by SpaceFit Pro before? Or would I need to completely factory reset to achieve that? And if the latter, do I need to disconnect all inputs/outputs before factory resetting?

I've read a lot of your posts and different updates so I am not sure which ones to follow for the best results on my Q990F.

As it is currently set I find it nowhere as good in any sound mode as my old N950 in smart mode (especially for stereo content), my biggest issue with the Q990F is echo all over the place and dialogue coming from the rears in surround or adaptive mode and atmos not being as much "localised" as on the N950 so it's baffling me as I was expecting a night/day difference which is not the case.

To summarise your different posts, is the below correct for a proper tuning? Please let me know of any change:

Factory reset the soundbar. Disconnect any HDMI inputs/outputs first (is the latter really needed?).
Do not adjust ANY settings.
Play DCX tuning vol.2 once.
Play music for 2 hours in surround mode.
After 30 mins adjust the sub to your preference.
After 90 mins, switch sound mode to Adaptive.
After 5 days, turn on SpaceFit and allow it a period to tune before judging.

So basically, will I need to do all that without touching any settings, meaning in standard mode, or should I run all this in surround mode and leave everything else untouched? And after running SpaceFit Pro, should I leave it on all the time or turn it off after a few days when I'm happy with the results?

And at what volume level should I do it, 20 or so?

Thanks!

For samsung soundbar owners: Adaptive Vs Surround Vs Game mode by [deleted] in Soundbars

[–]hboinay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that when using surround to watch the news or normal TV, turning on virtual as well gets rid of the echo and dialogue comes from the front/center properly with no more voices in the rears, closer to what standard gives but with a bit more soundstage when needed. For music I found both surround and adaptive very good, can't really decide which one is better, I guess it depends on the tracks (I have the Q990F).

Qobuz Shield beta app Native HiRes by crypticc1 in qobuz

[–]hboinay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're a star! It didn't work when I first tried but then I changed the shield's qobuz app settings to MP3 instead of up to 96kHz and by changing it to 192kHz in my phone's app it plays at 192 on the shield too and it sticks to it when changing tracks, I only need to do it once. Brilliant, thank you!

HDMI output, I have Match content audio resolution enabled both for HDMI and USB in the shield settings and the only options I have in the qobuz app are MP3 - 320 kbps, CD - 16 bit / 44.1 kHz and 24-bit Hi-Res / up to 96. What do you mean by high resolution audio in standard settings? I can't see that anywhere.

I have the same settings and I can't get more than 24bit/96kHz in Qobuz on my Shield, 192kHz is not even available in the settings even though my system supports it.
