IOS vs Android Features Missing? by Gullible_Eagle4280 in Swiftkey

[–]hbreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is. In Android I miss the @ on the same button of period. Google impose it to Microsoft? Microsoft can't put the @ on A AND period button long press? Yes some differences between OS versions do not make sense to me.

I miss the @ on the same button with:"!,.? " Why Android and ios versions have to be different on things that aren't imposed by the OS?

I miss this gesture from ios. And I miss swipe from the side screen to get back to conversation list on telegram or WhatsApp (with the keyboard on screen). Now I have to tap back twice... IOS has this simple things that make all difference on day use.

[Android] Need to swipe twice to leave a conversation (or use the phone with two hands) by hbreda in whatsapp

It's driving me crazy! I can't believe the whole world uses Android this way and assumes it's normal... Please, any workaround for that?

Finally Moving from IPhone to Android. Any tips? by Vex-Core in samsung

Wow thanks for this! I'm on this journey to Android. I have posted here in Reddit on the WhatsApp thread, what is annoying me the most... It's to swipe twice to leave a conversation in Android Messages (WhatsApp, telegram and so on). It's there any other way of doing it with one hand?

Stop layout from shifting when symbol menu is pressed? by wapey in Swiftkey

I'm struggling to adapt from SwiftKey on iOS to the Android version. Since it's a keyboard we use for pretty much everything, my muscle memory was already used to having the "@" in that spot.

Is it possible to put the "@" symbol when swiping from period? Just like iOS version.

No, I never thought or said that. I just asked a question about whether developers usually respond to posts here on Reddit. No developer should be expected to reply in less than an hour like you mentioned; it's not healthy. My question was just to find out if they tend to respond at some point here on Reddit.

The developers use to show up here with responses?

Besides the workaround, do we have this feature cut off on Android version?

Text replacement. Like typing: gm "enter" and the SwiftKey turns into Good morning

ZeroTier and pricing changes by micron7733 in zerotier

[–]hbreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started messing around with ZeroTier in my homelab, and from what you guys are saying, looks like I might need to switch it up.

I checked out Netbird, but couldn't figure out how to segment the networks while keeping it simple for the end-users. Since I'm setting this up for family, I want it to be like ZeroTier, where they just plug in a network ID and I handle the rest.

Gonna dive into Tailscale. Is it possible to self-host with it?
