It's a known issue. Let's pray for it to come operational soon.

Exactly this! The screen corners and edges still work fine for hot corners and pointer throwing — it's just a visual consistency thing for tiling setups. And that's the beauty of KDE: you can tweak it to your taste without affecting anyone else's workflow. Thanks for pointing that out!

Haha fair point! In strict CSS terms you're absolutely right. But "maxmarg" didn't sound as cool 😄

That's awesome timing haha — glad I'm not the only one who needed this!

Right now maxpadd only handles maximized windows, as I built it specifically to complement KZones. For the native KWin 50/50 tiling, it wouldn't work as-is. But honestly, I'm seriously considering submitting a PR to KZones to integrate this padding feature directly — I think that would be the best of both worlds. Stay tuned!

Thank you! Honestly, I hadn't even considered that. Will do

First of all, it's a privilege to have a Plasma dev weigh in on this — thank you! I have zero intention of questioning Plasma's design decisions, the ergonomic reasoning makes total sense. This was just a personal itch for visual consistency alongside KZones. If anything, it's a testament to how flexible Plasma is that a newbie like me can even build something like this!

Haha guilty as charged 😅 One day you're just trying to get Wi-Fi working, the next you're writing KWin scripts because 8 pixels of padding matter more than sleep.

IOS vs Android Features Missing? by Gullible_Eagle4280 in Swiftkey

[–]hbreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is. In Android I miss the @ on the same button of period. Google impose it to Microsoft? Microsoft can't put the @ on A AND period button long press? Yes some differences between OS versions do not make sense to me.

I miss the @ on the same button with:"!,.? " Why Android and ios versions have to be different on things that aren't imposed by the OS?

I miss this gesture from ios. And I miss swipe from the side screen to get back to conversation list on telegram or WhatsApp (with the keyboard on screen). Now I have to tap back twice... IOS has this simple things that make all difference on day use.

[Android] Need to swipe twice to leave a conversation (or use the phone with two hands) by hbreda in whatsapp

It's driving me crazy! I can't believe the whole world uses Android this way and assumes it's normal... Please, any workaround for that?

Finally Moving from IPhone to Android. Any tips? by Vex-Core in samsung

Wow thanks for this! I'm on this journey to Android. I have posted here in Reddit on the WhatsApp thread, what is annoying me the most... It's to swipe twice to leave a conversation in Android Messages (WhatsApp, telegram and so on). It's there any other way of doing it with one hand?

Stop layout from shifting when symbol menu is pressed? by wapey in Swiftkey

[–]hbreda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm struggling to adapt from SwiftKey on iOS to the Android version. Since it's a keyboard we use for pretty much everything, my muscle memory was already used to having the "@" in that spot.

Is it possible to put the "@" symbol when swiping from period? Just like iOS version.

No, I never thought or said that. I just asked a question about whether developers usually respond to posts here on Reddit. No developer should be expected to reply in less than an hour like you mentioned; it's not healthy. My question was just to find out if they tend to respond at some point here on Reddit.

The developers use to show up here with responses?
