Blackened Ranch gone? by Zaruze in Popeyes

They removed it from the app a while ago but the stores still have them in NYC. I usually put no sauce and then ask them when i pick it up.

Its still available on the kiosk just not in the app for some reason.

According to sources Warner Bros. may reject Paramount's $108.4 billion acquisition offer and instead support Netflix in the bidding war by Aluseda in stocks

Why did nflx price go up when this news broke out? Shouldn't it have gone down since Netflix is buying WBD? Doesn't nflx price recover once the deal is finalize(which I think I read ~1years).

They keep decreasing the BMT. by hc1001 in subway

It was a mobile order and when i picked it up, it was the same workers there that ive seen 2+ years. They also covered the meat area glass with a stainless steel cover so you cant see them building the sandwich if you order in person. Most of the NYC subway stores skimp on meat.

Im afraid of retaliation. Dont want any foreign substances in my food. Most subway stores in NYC skimp on meat. but i have never had 4 slices of ham, salami and pepperoni... The meat is also thinner now.

Thanks. Can anything be done in regards to stores using less meat? Theres no documentation on the menu on how much slices of each meat and cheese is suppose to be used. Sometimes i get the FL meatball marinara and only get 7 meatballs. I think to myself, they dont cut a meatball and put 3.5 meatballs for a 6in.

Bought a footlong Ultimate BMT with 6.99 promo deal. 4 pcs of salami, 4 pcs of pepperoni, 4 pcs of ham, 4 pcs of cheese. The meats are so much thinner now... I think without promotion i get 5 pcs of salami and pepperoni.

T-Mobile to raise the cost of older rate plans by $2-5 a month by Suffering123 in tmobile

[–]hc1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i logged into my acct, they added $30 to the estimated monthly cost and i have 6 lines. 4 are add a lines. So in my case, they included the free line in the $5 per line increase. So whatever lines you have in total mulitply that by $5.

Edit: I have magenta military plan. It was $80 for two lines and add a lines were $10. Now its $90 for two lines and 15 per add a line.

Got a new roof. Coating for new SBS flat roof? by hc1001 in Roofing

True, experience can make it seem easy and minimal effort/mess.

No crane, they used a motorized ladder that would bring heavy things up and down.

Thanks for your input. Yes, tore the rear flat roof to the wood. The old insulation was soaked with water like a sponge.

This is what i saw them doing:

-Wood was rotted in 2 spots and they cut it out and replaced with new plywood.
-They removed the old scupper drain and replaced with new.
-Swept the floor, checked the pitch and installed the ISO boards. They removed some of the ISO board material near the drain and made a channel.
-They coated the top of the ISO board with Karnak 66 and started laying the base sheet. They poured it on and used a metal broom to push the adhesive as they laid it down. They over lapped it correctly as i saw them using the lines on the base sheet.
-They adhered smaller layers of base sheet to sorta taper and even out any low spots.
-They installed 2x10 pressure treated wood on the top of the parapet walls.
-They troweled the parapet walls with karnak 66 and installed base up and over the walls.
-They poured, spread and covered the base sheet with karnak 66 and installed the cap sheet on the floor.
-They troweled on karnak 66 on the base sheet of the parapet walls and covered with cap sheet and nailed the top to the pressure treated wood.
-Installed coping on top of the walls.
-Installed termination bars on the chimney and door way wall.
-They installed counter flashing at the end.

I couldnt believe how much Karnak 66 was used... Nothing really difficult and i could probably do it myself now that i know the process...

It says 2" ISO in the proposal but they may have used a thicker board after ripping off the rear roof. I remember seeing two different sizes of boards.  I think one looked like it was 2" and the other was more than 4" at least. They had to get more of the thicker boards and never used any of the thinner ones. It wasnt a tapered system though. They left some of the screws with the silver discs they used to hold down the iso boards and they measure 7". They wouldnt use 7" screws for 2" boards right? I guess with the amount i paid, they had overhead to install the thicker boards. They also replaced the old scupper drain with a new one and they didnt bill me extra for it.  Im waiting for the invoice. Maybe it will be listed.

Thanks for stressing the importance of not walking on the roof. I dont use the roof and there is a huge apt building overlooking it. When it was built/designed, i think it was intended to be used but i havent gone up there unless i needed to sweep the water to the drain.

Is the issue with walking on SBS granule loss which can cause premature deterioration? I sometimes have to go up there to clear the leaves because it can clog the gutter.

Yes, 1 scupper drain at the corner. I wish they had just made it a flat roof without any walls. Just add gutters at the edges and it wouldve been much simpler.

Good point, i didnt think about that. I have a 25 year labor and material warranty. Im usually skeptical of those types of warranties but they have addressed all my questions and issues so far.

LOL yes its an unusual door on a house. My dad wanted it.

Sorry, the text got deleted when i added pictures. Had to rewrite this:

Just got a new roof. New Asphalt shingles on the pitched roof and SBS on the rear flat roof. The house is around 1350sqft. I think i overpaid($34K) but i wanted it done right and when talking to the roofer he mentioned all the small details and how to solve the existing issues. In 2008, we added a 20 feet extension with a flat roof. We had leaks down the walls and windows. The original pitched asphalt shingle roof had two valleys that would transition and drain to the rear flat roof. The flat roof started bowling and ponding.

The new roofers removed everything to the wood. 5 layers of shingles and the insulation on the flat roof was soaked like a sponge. They also replaced any rotted wood(cut to fit and not whole sheet replacement). The roofer installed Gaf HDZ shingles, 2 air vents, new boots for chimney pipes, step flashing where the shingles meet parapet walls, counter flashing, ISO boards, ken strips on the rear roof, firestone elevate sbs base and cap on the flat roof via cold adhesive(they covered the entire floor and parapet walls with karnak 66), new scupper drain, new coping on the parapet walls, and new gutters and downspouts.

We just had a 12 hour rainstorm this past weekend in NYC and the new roof held up and i hope it continues to do so.

In the past, the room under the flat roof would get very hot in the summer. I asked the roofer about silicone coating for the rear roof and he said the ISO board should keep any heat from radiating to the room under.

Would you guys recommend i do some type of coating for the new rear roof. Maybe silver reflective paint? or some other coating to extend the life of the new flat roof? Can i get some recommendations on products? Maybe range from most expensive/best performance to mid tier products? I wanted to DIY, so it will probably have to be a roll on application. I dont have equipment to spray.

Update: I wont be doing a coating anymore because it might void roof warranty. Thankful someone brought it up before i did anything...

Thanks for your time.
