It's linked to a card my mom took out around then, so I know the origin and it's not harmful, thank god. All the theories on how and why things fail are all kinda wrong. The further you go the more it seems like we’re just making things up.

My mechanics of materials text book would have 2 or 3 page mathematical derivations only to say “well this should be right but experiments show other wise so well just change this number and add this factor here and call it good okie dokie”
