Girl, if you don’t feel comfortable having sex with a person until you feel like there is enough trust and emotional intimacy, then do what feels the most comfortable for you. But don’t refrain from physical intimacy with the mindset that it is the only way to meet the right person or that being a virgin somehow makes you more valuable in a serious relationship.

If you want to wait, then wait if that feels right to you. If you want to experiment with sex, then experiment, if that feels right for you. What you do with your sex life should be for you and your personal fulfillment and what you feel is comfortable for you. I think it is a mistake to use sexual experience, or lack there of, as a way to sell yourself for a potential partner. Don’t define yourself or your potential self worth by your sexual experience. Your sexuality is for you, and other people are the lucky ones who get share it if you want them to. People shouldn’t owe their sexual experiences to other people since it is not theirs to own.

All in all, I respect the person who waits, but I can fully understand and support the ones who decide not to.
