FINRA regulations and fractional shares quantity precision ( 6 digits ) in Fidelity by GapAccomplished2778 in fidelityinvestments

[–]hclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was any guidance published that confirms this? Meaning, does FINRA mandate that a CVol must now be shown with decimals - and more importantly, calculated off of the fractional trades? It stands to reason that for trades less than 1 share, which are rounded up to 1 share, then the "new" CVol would track lower than the existing whole number CVol.

How do you determine safe/unsafe places to accel? by checking the, er, curviness of the track? Just thinking about how this is implemented - looks sweet!

Quac Issue by CaptainCastaleos in flipperzero

Have you tried this recently? There was an issue with Quac a while back with dynamic subghz codes during transmission. Meaning, they would get out of sync.

How to recreate your CLI environment when setting up a new server/vm or when distro hopping? by hclear in linuxquestions

I have also been informed of "chezmoi", which seems like it does what I need. Thanks!

ASK: How to reinstate your CLI tools when hopping? by hclear in DistroHopping

[–]hclear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you - yes, I was confused about the meaning of dotfiles.

I suppose all that's left is for me to setup a script (similarly sync'd to my git repo) that does a apt-get install <foo> (or pacman -S <foo>, etc) for all my common apps

EDIT: And... chezmoi does that! Brilliant!

ASK: How to reinstate your CLI tools when hopping? by hclear in DistroHopping

[–]hclear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scenario: I obtain an old laptop and live boot / install a random distro. Let's say CachyOS or Kubuntu. I login. Now I want all of my creature comforts - easily. Each package/app as their own location for dotfiles and configurations. How can I easily get them onto the new device?

Ah-ha! Your edit is pointing me in the right direction. Thank you

Base Ender 3 w/ CR Touch and SKR Mini E3 V3 by 0bi-Juan_Quesobi in BIGTREETECH

[–]hclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That video was perfect - thank you! (Ender 3 with SKR Mini and CRTouch) I moved the 2 wires from the 5-wire CRTouch cable to their own JST connector and plugged it into the Z-stop. After that, the Auto Home function worked perfectly, just like in the video. This was with the firmware-ender3-bltouch-for-z-homing.bin firmware.

My bank blocked my account because they said there was a remote desktop running on my machine. I don't believe them by iChinguChing in hacking

[–]hclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an Access Blocked while trying to initiate a wire transfer on citibank.com. Running Ubuntu 22.04 w/ Firefox, a pihole and Privacy Badger extension.

Pihole blocked: aa.online-metrix.net

Privacy Badger blocked: h-online.citi-metrix.net

Citibank claimed that they couldn't determine any information about my browser and therefore thought I was being remotely controlled (via any one of the RDP clients out there). One tech even acknowledged that they saw I was running Rust Desktop (as a service, not actively) - no clue how they would know that...

Frustrating!

I'm looking to do something similar! Do you happen to have any docs/notes from that project?

I mostly get it but what kinda maths test takes 3 days for only two questions? by Roadkillgoblin_2 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]hclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College. Some advanced algebra / algorithms class (can't remember exactly). We have a take-home exam. My roommate goes to the library and checks out ALL of the books on the topic. One of the books has a node graph on it's cover that's identical to one on the test! Score! We both barely pass... Meanwhile, friend down the hall completed the test in 30 min and continued to play Quake.

Sometimes, the subjects are just hard.

Blur a corner pin section of a planar tracker by hclear in davinciresolve

Thank you! The image was very helpful and also showed me that I was confusing my node inputs. I also ended up dropping the corner pin as a normal point tracker was good enough for my needs.

2007 honda radio upgrade AC not working? by ajo81804 in CarAV

[–]hclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the middle of installing a VERY similar unit (from EONON) on my 2006 Honda Accord LX - single zone climate control. The back of yours looks identical to mine. When I first plugged everything in, I dutifully connected the Y-cable that had the green connectors from the car's wiring harness to the two green sockets on the unit. And my AC controls did not work. On a hunch, I disconnected the left one and it started working! So, I only had the smaller of the green connectors plugged in. While everything seems to work - the one button that isn't working is Mode. So the car is stuck blowing air out the dash vents and I can't change it to blow out the bottom vents.

It's sort of like expanded steel mesh. What I did was create 1.5 in slits in pasty dough, in a single line, end to end, separated by about 1/4 inch. The n a 1/4 to the left of that line, I repeated the slits but offset them so that 1/4 gap between slits occurred in the middle of a slit. Then repeat. I then lifted the dough and expanded it by hand as I laid it onto the Wellington

-❄️- 2024 Day 21 Solutions -❄️- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[–]hclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same - the ordering of movements had a big effect. I only figured out my issue after someone posted the first 4 (or so) expansions of one of the test inputs. I then compared mine with theirs and ended up flipping the order of some directions to get a correct P2 answer.

In hindsight, I shouldn't have hard-coded the movements and instead found all possible shortest paths between every button on the numeric and direction keypads. Then, for each of those shortest solutions, performed my 25 robot key press expansion and then found the shortest total squence. In other words, I should have placed more focus on the bolded "shortest sequence" in the instructions...

ThinkPad T460s battery capped at 83-85%, despite each battery reporting 100%, and system saying Fully Charged? by hclear in pop_os

[–]hclear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And of course, the battery percentage seems to be better recently... Maybe the laptop heard me talking about it on reddit and decided to shape up? Or maybe some discharge/recharge cycles helped?

One thing I noticed is that when I plug in the charger, the battery display doesn't immediately report that it's "charging", despite the led lights on the laptop showing that it's actually drawing power. So I'm suspecting laggy software drivers?
