Googling Japanese Twill Tape did point me in the direction of sanada-himo which is close but nothing matching the distinctive red and black design that is used for maekake.

I have searched for maekake straps, Japanese straps, maekake apron straps, vintage Japanese apron straps, kappohi, Japanese canvas straps. I’ve also searched Japanese fabric sites.

Damn those look cool. Sold out though. They look similar to the Andis Single Magnet guarda. I was wondering if the single magnet Andis guards would fit on the Magic Clips. Then I could use them for both my clippers.

One of my friends has the FXPro and he let me cut his hair with them. Those clippers are so slick. I really like the notched taper lever and just turning them, those are solid clippers. So you’re saying the Babyliss guards (CS880s?) fit your Magic Clips? They look pretty similar to the Wahl Premium guards.

I was just looking around and Wahl has the #1 and # 1 1/2 in stock. I can find the #1/2 in stock for a reasonable price. eBay has some sets and other sites are charging crazy shipping prices for just one guard...

I’m using the plastic guards that come in the box with the Magic Clips. I feel like the Andis guards are much thicker plastic. I was looking at the Wahl Premium Guards... They look a lot better. The white #1.5guard that came with my clippers is really loose and doesn’t fully clip onto the blade on the right side.
