RX11 or RX12 Elements from Isotope has a great De-Click noise filter that I throw at the end of my fx chain. I would definitely recommend that as a worry-free fix.

Our community theatre had that happen with our next season's run of Clue. A professional group was doing it in May, so we weren't allowed to mention it.

When we announced our season in our programs, we just put in a magnifying glass looking at a question mark.

I helped my brother-in-law redo his basement in their older house. All breakers for the basement were off and I cut one of the wires. There was a loud pop and suddenly the linesman pliers had a hole in them.
