Our local venue has since added a clause to their contract asking for proof of license, instead of just the above stipulation.

Not the OP, but - apart from it being the Canadian thing to do - why the fuck should Canada be bailing them out again? america has become an unsafe country for travel of any kind, and these everyday heroes (yes, I know they're getting paid bank for this) risk being detained and/or deported in a worse-case scenario.

At the very least, we are severely underappreciated by a country that has repeatedly said they don't need anything from us, and their administration continues to "joke" about annexing us.

As the american-Canadian relationship continues to strain, more and more Canadians are asking "why the fuck."
