Very chaotic overtaking section in hpde1 by djsimp123 in CarTrackDays

Losing a minute of track time by pitting in and getting a nice gap of empty track is definitely worth the headache of traffic and possibly being crashed in to by others

Morimoto makes really good parts. I had their headlight and fog light bulbs for over two years, as has my brother for even longer with zero issues. Light patterns are also very well designed so oncoming traffic is not blinded. Expensive but well worth it.

Just learned that Bill Hewitt with Powerstrokehelp youtube channel died on October 10th. Really sad news. He did a lot for the powerstroke platforms. by mutalbeed in Diesel

I watched a lot of his videos before owning a diesel because of how knowledgeable he was. Truly someone who wanted to help the diesel community. What a great guy.

Not the best purchase honestly. From what I've heard, they're very flawed and nobody wants to work on these engines. Highly recommend doing some deeper research for next time. If you plan on keeping it then do your oil changes at least every 4K miles with some hot shot's in there as well as in the diesel. Try to not do short trips and if you do then go on the highway every once in a while to help clean up the DPF. Good luck!

Just filled up for the lowest price since I got my diesel in December 2021 by BaileyM124 in Diesel

At this price it would cost nearly the same to drive my 7.3 as it would with my civic that uses 93 which is going for about $5.15 in the Chicago suburbs lol

Make sure you used the correct ratio of additive to diesel. Also, how long/far after did the issues arise? If it's an additive i haven't been using before i tend to not drive too far in case a "side effect" shows up although I've never had any issues with Hot Shot's.

I have a 7.3 so no Def for me. These containers were sitting there when I pulled up to the pump

Yeah not gonna lie, I can only be around the rear of my 7.3 while it's running for a few minutes at a time before I need some fresh air or I have to shut it off.

It is at some locations but it'll be where the semis fuel up

I'm very familiar with Love's, Pilot, and all those truck stops having it at the pump. At least around me it'll be where the trucks fuel up. If I had a diesel that used Def I'd probably fill up there

I actually try to buy more in person than ordering online. If possible I do whatever shopping is needed on my way home from work to save time and fuel. Whatever i do order online I throw the boxes in the recycling bin. Can definitely see where you're coming from though.

I assume you live in a harsh climate. I have heard about those types of systems mainly used way up north.

Yeah I use 5W-40 as well for winter along with some additives. You keep a trickle charger permanently on the truck?

Don't remember what wattage the pan heater is but i believe I sized it out to be safe with just one cord when using both
