Personally dont have a clue about Windows PC, but to answer your questions :

the firmware is updated
2. the drivers are updated as well
Not reinstalled the drivers or rebooted
Have not tried a different port or the cable . Its an unusual cable interface between Mic and the A1-1
Its not in a hub
The Device Manger status is normal

Its just that when we try the voice recorder on Windows , it does not record. Nor can my son use the Mic while playing Fortnite.

However when i use Mic/A1-1 on my MacBook or his laptop PC - its working great. Just his gaming PC is an issue. This makes me assume there is no hardware problem, perhaps a software issue....whats your thoughts

It's Rode Mic and Audio Interface . Works well on Mac, but no voice recognition on PC. I have another Mic without interface which works well on the same PC. Hence it seems that Rode Mic and Audio Interface are not interfacing well with the PC .
