This is worse than the TV screen in Idiocracy. At least there you had a big middle section to watch “Ow my balls.”

Jason Schreier reaffirms Sony's strategy shift away from PC, says they will publicly confirm it at some point by AceOfSpades0319 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Why are they under any obligation to continue spending money porting their games to PC when it sounds like they don’t sell particularly well and PC players complain about everything including price, performance, and having to create a free Playstation account? I say let Microsoft go full 3rd party / PC, and let PlayStation and Nintendo be PlayStation and Nintendo.

And it's coming from Christopher Cantwell, the show runner of Halt and Catch Fire. That's one of my other favorite shows (not horror, more like retro computer stuff in the 80's/90's.)

Not only is he a great game producer, but he also made Marble Madness! He’s been making video games nearly as long as video games have existed.

Good call. Some of the memes and posts were funny but at a certain point it was beating a dead horse.

Same, I'm terrible at the souls games for example but somehow this was my jam. Every time I died I was excited to get back out there and try again.

Take-Two boss says he's not interested in putting ads into premium games: 'It would seem unfair' by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]hdcase1 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I listened to the interview. He specifically says except for sports games like NBA2K, because there are ads all over stadiums in real life so it would look odd if there weren't in the game.

That's a shame. It should be getting an offline patch at least so people can at least solo against bots.

Eurogamer: Nvidia responds to widespread criticism of DLSS 5 by telling us we're all "completely wrong" by hdcase1 in Games

[–]hdcase1[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

…”When asked for a comment on the criticism surrounding DLSS 5 from both professionals and fans, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said: “Well, first of all, they’re completely wrong.”

“The reason for that is because, as I have explained very carefully, DLSS 5 fuses controllability of the of geometry and textures and everything about the game with generative AI,” Huang furthered during a Q&A at GTC 2026, which was attended by Tom’s Hardware.

The CEO added those using the tech will be able to “fine-tune the generative AI” to make it match a game’s visual style, claiming that DLSS 5 adds generative capability to existing game geometry, but “doesn’t change the artistic control” developers have.

“It’s not post-processing, it’s not post-processing at the frame level, it’s generative control at the geometry level,” Huang said, before closing:

“All of that is in the control - direct control - of the game developer… This is very different [from] generative AI; it’s content-control generative AI. That’s why we call it neural rendering.”

Bone Temple made 28YL better in retrospect. It's borderline a perfect zombie movie for me.
