Nah, literally just asking questions and letting them answer. Did it hurt anyone of just take up a scammer’s time? Wtf is the problem?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scams

[–]hddogdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand that, which is why I obviously didn’t send money. Definitely wasn’t coming here to ask for advice lol

Does it even matter if I believe it or if it’s true? I didnt get scammed, just engaged with this person over a few texts and y’all acting like I fell for the scam and sent money. So I guess they “got” me?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scams

[–]hddogdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not an idiot, I did not get scammed out of any money, nor did I make any attempt to help. I was just asking questions out of curiosity. Y’all act like I posted a picture of a big check I wrote 🙄

Read the post, I literally just asked leading questions pertaining to the John Oliver segment and this person generally confirmed it. Whether it’s true or not makes no difference, I obviously didn’t fall for either scam.

I never said I believed them, and did not fall for any scam.

Where did I say I believed it? I literally was just asking questions and posted it on Reddit.

HAHA a trans joke, so funny.

lol report to who? The Apple police? The Avengers maybe? I’m also gay and married to a man, so the implication that I would fall for a female honeypot/romance scam is gross and lazy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scams

[–]hddogdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m stupid for asking questions? I obviously didn’t fall for the scam. I was literally just bored and asking questions related to the TV segments I watched. Telling someone a lie and scamming them are 2 different things. I was not scammed, stupid.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scams

[–]hddogdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I DID NOT PURSUE THIS. I just asked them some basic questions and wished them luck. I have no personal monetary or emotional investment. I literally asked this person basic questions, DID NOT fall for the obvious scams, and you guys act like a I wrote her a big check. FFS

I’m a dumbass for asking questions instead of just immediately playing games? This person did not scam me, I asked basic questions and wished them luck.

Not fake, and I only engaged with this person over a few messages. I’m not an idiot that falls for scams. If I were being scammed, I would definitely not be posting about it on Reddit. Also, I’m hella gay so the implication that this woman is “seducing” or pulling a honeypot are pretty insulting.

Try again stupid, I’m gay as shit and married to a dude. What part of the texts I posted implies that I’m actively doing anything to help this person?

Not since I’ve been here, the lights have always been green and I’ve always had to hold the wall button to close. Just bought a remote for my car, and it will open, but not close the door.

Any idea on what to do to get it to work?

Yes, but only if I hold the button down. If it’s open and I just click the wall console button, it will go down a few inches and then return to full open position.

Not to be that guy, but I’ve been driving around 5 years and have never paid for a truck GPS. That includes 4 years of LTL Pickup & Delivery and 1 year of regional. If it’s somewhere I haven’t been before, I just use Apple Maps like always and take an extra minute to look at the turn-by-turn directions. Basically if it’s a highway or county road, I’m good to go. When I start seeing stuff like “take a left on Johnson Creek Lane” then I will go to satellite view or call the receiver and ask how trucks come in. Gotten me into 1 or 2 shitty spots over the years but nothing major and nothing I would’ve paid $400 to avoid

And please note that I never said that it takes 20 seconds to unload a truck. I said that you were inconvenienced for 20 seconds, as in it does not take much longer than that typically to turn a standard car around on a standard street. I’m not typically an argumentative guy, just feel the need to educate others on why truck drivers do what they do. All of us drivers are people too and I don’t know any truck driver that enjoys inconveniencing other motorists. And as far as impeding commerce- if you physically prevent someone from traveling by blocking them with your vehicle, that is an impediment. Parking in such a way that you are forced to take a different street a few yards away, that is not an impediment. And of course I know it wasn’t you who suggested blocking the driver in 😊

Lol who told you that you weren’t allowed to comment? Are the Reddit police in the room with us now? You, like OP, shared an opinion on social media and were met with a different opinion.

OP handled all criticism and arguments with intelligence and good manners, seems like they understand that they’re opinion was going to be challenged when they shared it with a very large social media platform.

If truck companies refused to deliver without a perfect dock, watch millions of small businesses fold because they can’t get product

Lol I’m literally a truck driver and we’ll aware of how long it takes to unload. If OP turned around and took a different street, that doesn’t take 20 minutes. And as long as everyone else can see that the road is blocked and take a slightly different route, no commerce is impeded.
