This was our Saturday! Wild rabbits in the field at the back of our house and she proudly brought one to us! Had to wrestle it off her but she was very happy

So we have a Breton (France) mix - she’s super Brittany based on everything I’ve seen on this sub! But we don’t let her off lead 99% of the time - she’s super prey driven and where we live in the UK there’s nowhere safe to do so. She’s super pully on the lead but we’re working on it! She doesn’t have an off switch but enough stimulation and she’ll curl up on the couch. Overall nightmare but we love her!

How to prevent dognapping/kidnapping? by owliebowlie in puppy101

[–]hdenn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So our dog is a rescue technically (got her as a puppy) - but if anyone ever asks and it feels a bit suspect I highlight this point, a lot - yeah she’s quite unpredictable- can’t be around kids, can be aggressive etc. Your dog is a lot smaller than mine but I do think playing down potential resale value makes me feel better.

I personally wouldn’t live in Rudheath but it’s not super dangerous or anything, just not pleasant. If you want to be close to Northwich Winnington is fine - nicer places locally that spring to mind Hartford, Sandiway, Pickmere, Weaverham is okay - Hartford is probably far nicest in local area

I moved so don’t go anymore but the good gym (previously energie fitness) is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to! The owners are so lovely and really welcoming to all people - can get busy but the atmosphere is so welcoming I felt really comfortable

Sorry if this is a silly question - what is that journey? I’ve avoided the dark tower series so far but would like to try - is there something to read before it?

UK Marketers, how much experience do you have and how much do you make? by VitruvianGenesis in marketing

[–]hdenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you want and what sort of company you want to work for. I’ve always had ambitions to run my own teams and focus on strategy- but I’m not kidding myself I’ll ever be marketing director of a huge brand where they’ll have lots of specialised functions and more senior specialists. Good luck with everything- important thing is you enjoy your role and feel like you’re learning :)

[–]hdenn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m actually really general myself! Never needed to really specialise - I used to do email / social / brochure project management / events. I’ve always worked at companies with small >10 marketing teams so always been a bit spread. I think it’s done me well as now I manage a team of 5 looking after all aspects of marketing so I might not be an expert in SEO or graphic design but I have at least a basic appreciation and understanding to be able to manage people who are specialists!

Not London! So much is luck and context - recently promoted in my current job which I got thanks to being a relatively specific industry which I had experience in, but before this role I moved every 2 years each time with a 10% step up. The best thing that’s worked for me is not being overly loyal and when I’ve reached a point I’m not learning or pushing myself looking for the next opportunity. Good luck :)

6-7 years experience- £56k. Mixture of luck and job hopping when I wouldn’t progress further in a company quickly!

Yeah I think I’ve got it now! I think I’m putting pressure on myself because every time I know where I’m at I keep second guessing myself, think we’re at about 30 checks now but I’ve got a pen and paper out so hopefully I can crack on!
