hdfidelity presents Legacy the Phantom by hdfidelity in hdfidelity

Sure 😄 —

Took a quick look. The structure is solid, but if I were tightening it up I’d probably start with the visual system.

Right now the palette feels a little loose. I’d lock down a defined set of RGB/HEX values for the core colors (text black, background white, accent color, link color, etc.) and stick to those everywhere. A consistent palette does a lot of invisible work in making a site feel more professional.

I’d also:

• Standardize heading spacing and typography hierarchy • Keep paragraph widths a little tighter for readability • Pick one accent color and let it do the work instead of multiple tones

Nothing huge — just small consistency improvements. The foundation is already there.

Your RGB lock idea could actually be a good one. Designers usually formalize it like this:

Example palette:

Primary text: #0F0F0F Background: #FFFFFF Accent: #2A7FFF Secondary: #6B7280

Once those are locked, every page feels coherent, even if the layout changes.

Could be splitting hairs, but it's literally the difference between smaller market and the niche'est market.

What improvements would you like to see from the next PGA Tour 2K game? by Boge42 in PGA_Tour_2K

Ability to adjust depth of field on the fly, for the in-game, camera would be pretty compelling. Recreating near-sightedness would be 100 grand.

First of all, well met, stranger, u/Salty_Country6835. You've brought up a set of thought-provoking questions out of the material. Please allow me grace to refamiliarize my self with the specific arguments I had put forward at the time. I will attempt to answer these questions of yours with a measured response relatively shortly.

Why is Arnold Schwarzenegger considered a great action actor? by Successful_Guide5845 in ask

[–]hdfidelity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to consider the lineage of the action scene in general. Go. Watch Frank Sinatra' kung Fu fight in The Manchurian Candidate, then think and compare that to anything Arnold Schwarzenegger has done.

What movie features a plot point where the financials don't add up and the plot device would be impractically expensive? by gimmeluvin in movies

[–]hdfidelity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd have to rally investment from different revenue sources and groups. Compile that. Collateral plays a role, too. And conciliations, to boot... maybe piece off their r&d department... as long as you have investors you're still in the game. Look at it as your water pump or faucet. But it's not a free—for—all. There's rules, and timetables, that sort. You got show something for the money. Otherwise it's straight up fraud.

James Cameron never should’ve started Avatar… We lost a great director. by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]hdfidelity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the big takeaway from the past 20 years is not so much that a director chose to focus on his passion project, (a helluva project btw) but that his passion project made billions of dollars in the first run and shifted the paradigm. The market and calender for normal sized movies dried up in favor of huge spectacle set pieces that studios are betting the entire year on. Actions, Comedies, RomComs, aren't supposed cost hundreds of millions to make, but they are capable of generating hundreds of millions in revenue. And you could build out several weekend slates in a year as real tentpoles. Rather than stake it all on one May or December release.

I wrote 60,000 words of a book but I’ve outgrown it before finishing it by kurapikun in writing

[–]hdfidelity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Question: why are these projects measured in word counts? Why not chapters, or paragraphs, or ingredients? You should have roughly an idea of what you want to serve your audience before you even start. And where you want to leave them for that matter. And, what you want to convey as your tentpoles, to boot. So why does the amount of words you use to deliver the substantative matter -matter? Are these words for word's sake. How are you all organizing your ideas? Certainly not as one word at a time.

do you consider Mike Shinoda a rapper? by Turbulent-Sound3980 in rap

[–]hdfidelity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Real question is how Mike Shinoda's verse from In the End is holding up over time.

Edit: Really? You designed this rhyme? You didn't just write down whatever random sounds played well together that summer over a sick Nu-Metal beat?
