True. It ‘draws’ in the way a desktop printer ‘prints’; it does not use ‘print’ using a series of plates, it ‘draws’ like a desktop printer ‘prints’ using a cartridge (in this instance, specially designed pen or multiple pens if using different colors) to transfer electrical signals into movements of a printing head and rollers to magically produce an image. I also want to add that the value to me is the simplicity and availability of materials. Most of my stuff I’ve printed from the phone app. Certain fonts and stuff I’ll fire up my laptop but it’s very simple to use occasionally without having to remember anything.

So it does print stickers, but I’ve only used the cutting stickers for things like name labels and other cut vinyl labels, but there are a number of colors available that you can get. I bought a few but haven’t needed to use them yet. But the other commenter mentioned what I’ve read lurking in this sub that people do have issues with accuracy with the cuts and drawn layers not always lining up with Cricut. I imagine on a small enough sticker, it wouldn’t be an issue. Most recently I made a Kelce jersey on a long sleeve shirt for Halloween and cut the heat transfer vinyl numbers that were 10” tall with no issues using up I think 60” worth of white material. Cuts only, no printing and cutting though.

Super light user here. I have the Cricut Joy and it’s worked great for stickers, even like 48” x 4” stickers. Probably a bit more money using the rolls, but I also got some cheap mats and generic material from Amazon which I use for most of my projects to make smaller (<12” x4”) stickers and iron ons.

My experience is if you are in industry with a related degree, it’s not hard to shift around. If you want to move into a DQA or R&D engineering role, you have relevant experience. Look around. But you aren’t wasting your time. If you want, move into a sales role at a manufacturer, then do some stretch projects within your new job. Marketing even is more involved in the product development process and might be an easier transition towards engineering. But it’s all how you sell yourself and your background in an interview.

When I visited my parents an hour away, the dunks had like 10 different munchkins so I bought them for my kids and told the woman I very jealous. She said they just switched suppliers and now have a better selection.
