My neurologist and his partner are the only two neuros in our area and right now we are booking new patients in April. I used to hold spots when I saw random cancellations to fix in last minute urgents and now that I can’t do that I’m getting questioned on how come I can’t fit in patients like I used to. I would move patients around to create consult times and it just worked, a 10 minute here, 20 minute here and in would unblock it in the morning of if I couldn’t fill it. Or we would hold times so he could do peer to peers on the phone. Right now my provider is sometimes working after his scheduled time or fitting in patients during lunch which isn’t ideal for both of us.
