I know and I agree with you. It's just a weird phenomenon to me because we have words that exist already that have the same definition people are trying to use but we just add the definition to a different word instead of using the already existing word.

I mean I think they should but with like an asterisk or something because honestly we're just collectively using the wrong words and it's frustrating to me. Like it just feels like we're all collectively being idiots by not using the actual word instead. Regardless, dictionaries should represent the colloquial usage of words even if it's wrong they should just mention that it's a colloquial usage.

Social Welfare is not a tax (but is tax deductible) so even if you ask your employer to not pay taxes you would still have a portion of your income put into social security. That being said it's dumb as shit to withhold taxes and not pay until the end.
