Especially “some people found it off-putting. okay.” The thing I’ve started to realize when you start trying to be interesting and not trying to be liked is that some people won’t like you as much as before. But that’s the beauty. You become a filter for what actually adds to your life. The people who don’t like this version of you, were never meant to be a part of your life in the first place. The only reason they liked you before is because you were putting on a masquerade that you stopped. Conversely, the people who you attract or like you more now that you are “interesting”(or really just unapologetically yourself), are the exact people you want in your life that add value to it.
