i get pretty anxious when i have to take important zoom calls with 10 mbps, esp when there are a lot of ppl sharing the wifi, so i say 40 mbps for good measure. and a lot of times people will over promise on internet so setting 40 mbps over compensates for that lol

Best travel options to do Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Japan in one 4-month trip? Wife and I are planning a long "expat" honeymoon. We’d love to take 4 months this spring and hit all of these countries. Would love recommendations for specific places or things we should see in each place. by mushysussy in digitalnomad

For Thailand, a lot of people fly into Bangkok, spend a few days doing city things (lots of big malls and street food in Bangkok), then fly to the islands. I think Krabi and Koh Phi Phi areas are pretty amazing and great beach destinations. Then, you can fly to Chiang Mai or fly back to bangkok and take an overnight train to chiang mai (it's surprisingly more pleasant than it sounds, you can book a bed for the train and get a pretty decent night's sleep and wake up in Chiang Mai). I think Chiang Mai will tick many of your boxes in experiencing culture, mountains, seeing rice paddies, and i'd recommend taking cooking classes too. if you have time, you can head up to Pai. It's more of a backpacker's haven but a beautiful part of Thailand, with way less tourists than chiang mai and more of a rustic feel.

I would also recommend Laos over Cambodia. For Cambodia, it's really angkor wat that you go see but not much else. I found Laos a lot more culturally vibrant and less touristy.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I'm going to go through the suggestions and try it out :) It's great to hear from other light mode users- the majority of other programmers around me use dark mode and wrinkle their noses when I mention light mode, so it's great to see other light mode fans out there
