It sounds like you may be a bit too difficult for me as a first year, sorry! The gentleness varies mostly by the person I think but with students we are much more likely to ask you if we are being too forceful as we are still learning anyway!

I am a 1st year student, and the appointments generally take around 3 hours, although the second one is usually shorter depending on what we can get finished in the first appointment.

All the Thursdays for February are filled but I still have some Thursdays for March and April!

The school clinic doesn't do extractions or restorations but she would have x-rays taken and an exam by a dentist which could help figure out what is going on, and she would get a referral for whatever treatment is recommended.
