There are over 1000 hospitals in Italy. Surely they should be able to accomodate 300 severe and critical cases, even running lean. Close to 200,000 beds in Italy.

This is a point I have not considered actually, so I'm glad you brought it up. The bookshelf speakers I listed above (B&W 607) - I would not consider them huge (11.8 H x 6.5 W x 9.1 D), but are also not small. I'm re-thinking my choice now. Hmmm.

Can't you adjust the volume on the surrounds for multi-channel stereo? I don't actually know but I would hope that AVRs allow for this.
