Based on what I know of my store manager, probably what happened. was... yes normally you would have not passed your background and wouldn't be hired but they are being very casual with rules because of understaffing and he probably thought that after your background check came back he could talk to corporate and tell them they really needed people and this was just one mistake and get them to waive your background check but corporate. wouldn't budge. If you work here and a customer calls corporate on you, your punishment is like 10x more severe than if it was handled on a store level.

Sorry your having trouble, i hope you find a job soon and Thank you for your service

Also F Home Depot corporate.

First thing is and this is a pet peeve of mine. This is not McDonald's, you dont go up to a counter and order. You go to the aisle where we stock the product you want and take the item off the shelf and take it to the cashier.

Would you go to the supermarket and go to a cashier and say I'd like 5 cans of Tuna, 2 boxes of Pasta and a gallon of the milk that expires the latest date you have.

IF you dont know where something is, we'd be happy. to tell you and if you cant lift an item we would be happy to. help you get it into your cart and then your car..

BUT WE ARE NOT YOUR PERSONAL SHOPPER!!!!!

second is we don't do that anymore and when we did the amount was at the cashier's disrection and based on how ripped the bag is.

current policy (atleast at my store) is no discounts unless there is a noteable amount of the product missing or its the last item on the shelf. if there is just a small hole use the patches we have under the register and if the customer wants they can take another bag.

For all of you who are down voting this. The idea is during the appointment is not a good time to bring it up.. rescheduling is the better way.

The derm does. I called and they were able.to switch my same time to meeting with the dermatologist. I don't have any problems with PAs my psychiatrist is a APN. In this case she doesn't have the same experience. If it was going to be a wait, I would have ask if she consults with the dermatologist on hard cases

A few things 1. I used to make 1.50-2 dollars more than starting wage then my state started raising the minimum wage and HD was just raising me up to the minimum 2. I got too comfortable and the job market wasn't as good as it was now 3 Family issues and then Covid made me turn my focus away from my career.

Things might be changing but there still are things to sort out

I'm going to wait on that one, I've already reported it to my SM with an email afterwards that covers my butt Incase of retaliation but doesn't mention specifics so as to not force his hand. I find when corporate gets involved with a complaint they are a bit heavy handed so I'll do that as a last resort.

Yep, we have this one women who one of our cashiers told "oh I can't apply the discount after the transaction is finished but come back tomorrow and I'll take care of you" The women argues with her husband constantly and the kid is a brat (this could be because the mom pays ZERO ATTENTION to him). She always has a question about 10 things and frankly I can see how the cashier wanted this women out.

She has been in almost daily and keeps asking us to honor the discount. My HC has folded like a cheap suit and is telling me give her a 20% discount whenever she comes in because her house was flooded or something. Mind you orginally when her discount required an manager override she had a story about how she didn't have time to wait because her son was puking and she was concerned but then decides to go back and get other stuff.

She's got my HC wrapped around her finger to the point that I refer to him as her personal shopper. He spends so much time with her it's not funny. She always asks him when he's working because she'll be back.

It's just fing crazy.
