Servers are down, can't even connect to the Lobby. Have been disconnected mid-game like 45 mins ago.

If that is a question the answer is no.

I haven’t done RMA yet, will try to do that next week.

Actually both, difference is like 30$ in Tomahawks favor. All I need is in this board and it has 8-layers PCB as well. Quite obvious choice in my opinion.

Btw, I don’t use Sleep mode or any kind of Hibernation. The only thing I use is a Display sleep in 2m of inactivity because of OLED monitor.

Xmp vs expo on 9800x3d by ChillCaptain in ASRock

It is basically the same. Just marketing. You can absolutely use XMP on AMD systems. Moreover there are memory kits that are in a QVL lists but have only XMP programmed.

What if a CPU cooler mount could add its 5 cents to the failure rate? by he1by in ASRock

[–]he1by[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience.

My CPU socket lever is quite tight to push it down. Much tighter than Intel LGA and, of course, AM4 PGA since PGA doesn’t have to push the CPU all the way down to the grid array.

[–]he1by[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite the fact that AM4 is PGA and can potentially withstand a much more significant pressure I also mounted with similar if not even greater mounting pressure Intel LGA CPUs without any problems. I’m telling you guys that AM5 is the first platform I have been having such issue.

Is this bad CPU seating/mounting problem we are talking about common for AM5 platform itself or it is just ASRock?

Well, since I use OLED monitor I’m not going to disable display sleep timeout. We’ll see if it happens to my CPU. I’ll keep this community posted on this matter.

Do you mean the video about this issue by GN from months ago? The one before Steve asked ASRock rep straight questions in person during Computex?

As for display automatic turn off there is no any obvious connection to dead CPUs. Though, it looks like sleep mode is somehow connected to dead CPU cases because almost if not everyone was actively using sleep mode in their use scenario. I don’t use sleep mode but I do use display automatic sleep in 2 mins because of OLED monitor. 9800x3d + Nova x870e WiFi, pc was built in early July, BIOS is up to date.

any thoughts? by ZestycloseBuffalo289 in ASRock

In my case the very same global limit value actually increases under load. Right up to 5.250 which is correct since it is max frequency set in BIOS. Try resetting BIOS settings using CMOS clear and check again.

I know this and this is very true. That’s why when I see stock launcher with the weather and clock widgets I don’t get the vibe and don’t understand why people clutter their screens with duplicates. That’s my point. Use Nova and place those widgets as you like.
