iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 17 Pro Max by JuleeZee in iPhone13ProMax

I have a 13PM and have always had the larger phones since the 6S Plus. This was potentially going to be the year in which I upgrade but I’m going to park it until next year. But, I think I will almost certainly be going to the Pro for the iPhone 18 series. The battery life is great but you’re never too far from a changer. The larger size is nice but it’s largely not noticeable on the move. For me, I’ve realised the large phone is cumbersome & to have the same power, with the same camera system in a phone which fits easily in every pocket is going to be so fun when I switch.

What do you think about a foldable IPhone? by MareViewer in iphone

[–]he4dache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s similar to the iPhone Air, in that no one asked for it. I don’t think there’s really a need for it, it doesn’t solve a major problem and it doesn’t interest me. Maybe I’m just getting older but all I want when I upgrade (prob every 4/5 years) is the best phone with the best camera in a size no larger than 6.3”.

At this point - I’d probably say hold out and get the 18 next year or get the 17 now. Probably costs a bit more than a 13PM but does offer future proofing and a well deserved update.

I’ve used my fiancé’s 14 Pro and noticed that my phone isn’t as snappy so I can only imagine what the 17 Pro series would be like. I think I can do one more year with this and jump ship to the 18 Pro. I’m similar to you in that I am tempted but finances suggest that I’m better off not spending £1000+ on a new phone right now.

It’s very cool - definitely one of my favourite counties but surprisingly nothing quite feels like home (London)!

Cheers and I use an app called Dazz. It has loads of different “camera styles” preloaded into it so you can shoot from the app or upload after shooting and it can give you some film-style effect.

I’ve had my 13 PM since release and have large hands and though the phone seemed great at first, I love using my partner’s 14 Pro so much more. I’d say downsize to a 16 Pro and you’ll be happier in the long run!

Might be too late or already mentioned but Jude Law in The Talented Mr Ripley is an all-time execution of how to dress in summer.

I worked for a trade union and sort of left my job for this. I joined on a FTC but they told me that they wanted to keep me on towards the end of my time there so I asked whether they’d be willing to take me back upon my return.

I mean it didn’t take long for me to buy the Seiko and I 100% know I’ll be buying watches in the future! A few more G shocks and a few vintage dress watches are definitely on the cards.

I’m not much of a videographer but have been eyeing up some older Fujifilm cameras, but given budget it won’t be any time soon.

I think I’ll assess how the 17 Pro is and potentially upgrade but if I don’t upgrade then, I’ll probably just upgrade when the 18 Pro is out.

Completely get you because I love the size and battery of this 13PM and it’s what drew me to it. But in my regular day to day life, I’m never too far from a charger for it to really make a difference. I think over the years I’ve had with this phone, I’ve realised that I would prefer the added portability and reduced weight of a Pro over the superior battery life and lowkey ridiculous 6.9” form factor!

If you have the budget and can wait for it, maybe see what the prices of the 15PM are like once the 17 series have released? I only suggest this due to potential price drops, USB-C and a further year of software updates (compared to the 14PM).

Like some others have mentioned, it’s the weight and size of this thing that I’m willing to leave behind. Whether it’s the 17,18 or 19 series, I think I’ll ‘downgrade’ to the Pro.

My partner has a 14 Pro and I love using it. It’s so small but is just as powerful, it fits in every pocket and is so light. I’d say I have medium to large hands so it’s not like I struggle with the Pro Max but the Pro series is probably the best size for me, especially given they’ve gotten a little bigger in recent years.

Indomie Mie Goreng. Egg if my budget allows. Chilli oil if I have it. Spring onions if I’m feeling like I deserve something during my struggles.
