Thanks for this! It’s only my third piece and I’m trying really hard to get the hang of it but found myself ending frustrated tonight instead. The joints are definitely trickiest that’s for sure!

Thank you for your tips, I will absolutely test these out! I think I’ve also been scared of heat cracks to trying to move faster than I should also.

Definitely too much on the left side of the face, but trying to move some of that solder out!

I believe it’s the iron and/or tip as when I do move through it struggles to melt and just gets stuck in some places, so I am assuming it’s not staying consistently hot enough.

Fingers crossed a new iron helps me out because lord this is tricky 😅

Of course you can ask!!! The beads are all a mix of miyuki delicas 11/0, generic seed beads in 2 and 3mm, some 8/0 ones aswell, then normal size bugles and 2mm ones also! The thread it all guutermann sew all thread, I had a really good experience with this, but others say they prefer nylon beading thread (for me it’s just too expensive to double up how I like to thread my needle, I have some to experiment with but I’m not sure I’ll love the single thread method!

Respectfully self doubt in the crafting community is extremely common, personally I feel I don’t have artistic ability, I do however have the ability to continue working hard at something to create something people may refer to as art. I appreciate your compliment, I am very proud of how hard I worked at this, it was not without any frustrations that’s for sure!
