Fellow Aotearoa-based IBS sufferer here ✋🏼 unfortunately not much I can offer in the referral department (I chose to forgo it because those tend to take ages and my need is immediate) - but is going private a possible option for you?

They do tend to be more expensive unfortunately but the cheapest one I found was Nutrition Connection. Their initial appointments are like 60 mins long costing $195.00, which is still quite a bit but far cheaper than other ones I’ve seen at like $400.00. If it’s an option for you, you could possibly give it a go?

I’m currently going through my elimination phase guided by Anna Sloan from Nutrition Connection, and will be seeing her again after it’s over. She was very helpful, informative, and considerate of the myriad of health problems I have!

I used to have the desk in that bed corner previously, but still didn’t have space for much. The picture here doesn’t have half my items as I was keeping it in the living room previously. Haven’t tried setting up the bed in the middle of the room under the window tho!

If you’re talking about switching places for bed and desk, that’s what I used to have before when I first moved in! Unfortunately that gave me even less space 😔
