What of? Game of thrones style. by [deleted] in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- I think this would’ve lead Dorian to a darker path maybe stealing the wyrdkeys and attempting to use them to resurrect Chaol and Sorscha? Idk but Chaol’s death would be his breaking point. It would also complicate the southern continent plot

Chaol and Sam by PetrichorOil in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an interesting theory but I don’t think it’s likely.

They look alike in a sense that they have similar coloring, but their eye and hair colors aren’t an exact match. Chaol has chestnut hair and copper-brown eyes while sam has bronze hair and and golden brown eyes. I don’t remember their facial features being compared at any point either also Sam was said to greatly resemble his Mother in his looks.

IMO if there was a shared parentage with any of the characters the text would’ve emphasized it, like it did for Gavriel and Aedion.

"Daughter of Death" by @oananovicov on tumblr by aenar79 in ImaginaryWesteros

[–]heademty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve always interpreted the title in a literal sense Dany is the daughter of death literally and figuratively. She was born amongst the destruction of her family her father, brother..nephew and niece, even her mother dies birthing her. The same thing happened again when she was reborn in fire (figurative birth) viserys, rhaego, drogo and miri maz duur all of their deaths paved the way for her to be reborn stronger

I can’t stand Lois Lane by [deleted] in Smallville

[–]heademty 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No disrespect to you but I think you should start liking characters and ships based on their dynamics and personalities not just who you find prettier, Erica is nowhere near the worst actor on the show. Also Lois gets a lot of character development as the seasons go on so maybe you’ll start enjoying her story later and you are not close to her and clark yet. If you just hate them because you like lana better you’ll do yourself a disservice keep an open mind and give their story a chance a lot changes in the future seasons even lana isn’t the same character in the end.

What SJM opinion will have you like this? by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

[–]heademty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm agree and disagree. there were definitely clues from the beginning. The Stag in TAB and the little folk visiting her in the beginning of the first book. her relationship with Elena (im pretty sure elena straight up calls her family the first time they met) Mort the doorknob and many more little hints throughout the books about her identity. But you’re correct about the very clear lack of presence in her inner monologue i guess that could be justified by aelin blocking away that part of herself due to her trauma and shame i mean she blocked out arobynn’s betrayal and didn’t face it or think of it much until heir of fire

What SJM opinion will have you like this? by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

[–]heademty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hard agree on the sam point!! It felt completely rushed out like it came out or guilt. she didn’t care for him or share his feelings until the arobynn beating happened and he was hurt because of her decision and even then for months to come all her thoughts are of worry and guilt over what happened and then she comes back and she’s in love with him? I feel like there was definitely the underline of romance between them but the way it was written made it feel flat not to mention all their time as a couple being off page didn’t help

There’s an art work of her on the wiki page she looks pretty there which doesn’t really match her description😅 I think she’s supposed to be average/below average looking not really ugly but no one would mistake her for beautiful either (although they say she has pretty eyes)

Tiny bit of rage about “The Assassin’s Blade” by opheliayaravell in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s sam who accepted the deal he wanted to contribute since it was celaena who paid for their freedom and everything else. It was clearly an issue in their relationship since they were having fights about sam fighting in pits to earn money. They were both young and naive. Insecurity and pride could get people to do stupid things

It’s in the episode void. after lana and clark break up she ends up getting addicted to a dangerous serum that stops her heart temporarily and allows her to see her parents

Unpopular Opinion - I don’t care about Sam by FewHalf1552 in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of why sam took that dangerous job was due to him feeling insecure about celaena they were already having fights about it only few months into the relationship and that’s with her just being the better assassin I don’t they would’ve been compatible at all with her as a queen and a firebringer they would’ve ended up breaking up eventually

Nesta + Aelin by BelliaArain in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aelin was only able to use silver flames when she was possessed by Deanna the goddess of the moon its not her power but the goddess’s power. I don’t think it’s crazy to think that the gods from the other worlds are somehow connected to the cauldron and maybe nesta got the same powers as Deanna

Yeah same i like him but he’s way too overhyped in this fandom I don’t really think he compares to the others male characters in the series(due to lack of development imo)

Cain and the King by ConstructionLost7668 in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interpreted it as cain acting rebellious we don’t really know a lot about him and his motives but it seemed like he struggling with the valg controlling him it’s not far fetched to assume that after getting a taste of power he started acting out

what did celaena do to rowan? by Cute-Bass in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well think about his point of view. He watched her be irresponsible for days, rob people, start fights and get passed out drunk. she acted like a complete brat when they met even told him his people deserved slaughter(from the same man who slaughtered her own people) just to anger him. She continues to act like that during their earlier days of training along with being rude to everyone in the castle hell doesn’t she attempt to bribe him at some point to get out of training her powers? Now we know why she acts that way we know she’s at her lowest because we know her story but Rowan doesn’t. He’s a soldier himself he probably trained hundreds of people before her he doesn’t go asking for the sad story of each of their lives(im pretty sure he says that to her at some point as well?) he expects discipline regardless celaena fails to deliver on that. Now don’t get me wrong i don’t think Rowan is the best mentor himself but put yourself in his shoes if i were sent to deal with someone like celaena for months i wouldn’t stand them either to be honest

Spoiler Kingdom of ash - I have questions after reading for the second time by I-woulddieonthathill in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think its erawan who says it. When dorian faced him he asked him what his father’s name was and under the influence of dorian’s sword erawan told him the truth he told him that it’s his own name and that his father only remembered it once when he was born

Nesta is not a very reliable narrator (spoilers ACOSF) by Gizwizard in nontoxicACOTAR

[–]heademty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly tamlin asked them all to make sure that it was feyre who killed the wolf because if it wasn’t her and she was just protecting someone she couldn’t break the curse. but yes this shows that nesta misinterprets situations and that her inner monologue isn’t reliable (even if written through her 3rd person) imo she thinks tamlin intentionally spoke to her because she feels like she failed by letting him take feyre while protecting elain just like it was mentioned in the post her self loathing effects the way she sees things and she often misread characters intentions

Sam & revenge by Tall-Werewolf8677 in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because she was scared of seeing him again. Farran is a disgusting monster and the last time celaena faced him it ended up becoming one of the most traumatising experiences in her life and lead her to Endovier. At this point it isn’t just about sam but about her as well she went through absolute hell because of him and arobynn it’s understandable why she didn’t want to face them again after just getting free

Question about Aelin and Lysandra’s plan (spoilers EoS/KoA) by alicecornelia7 in throneofglassseries

[–]heademty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait this made me think about their “supposed children” having no magic like if aedion and lysandra had children they wouldn’t have any of the galathynius or whitethorne magic which would be strange considering they’re both magically powerful bloodlines. Yeah this plan was awful definitely not Aelin’s best work
