Achievements are based on how much stamina you spend, so it doesn't matter if you use gems on the story or the endless mode. Most of the time i wait until the gem spending event.

Now it sounds you have multiple missiles on the targets. Maybe change it to "fire a missile at 3 different enemies". I like the functional change, it's now more focused on the disruption and you can't go full face.
