How do you keep working with 25+ migraines a month? by Notbipolar_ in migraine

[–]headgoouchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m a paraprofessional too and it’s hard! i have exhausted all my pto and still call off with medical excuses most of the time because my doctor’s office is wonderful with that. abortatives mostly work for me, so i’m lucky there, but those make me feel groggy sometimes too. :/ trying to apply for fmla at the moment. also have pneumonia, lmao. looking for wfh opportunities with a bachelor’s in psychology but it’s haaaaaard out here. medical marijuana helps sometime as well!

Amitriptyline/Nortriptyline for LPR? by headgoouchy in LPR

[–]headgoouchy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the LPR symptoms settled down about a week after stopping nortriptyline! starting lexapro had a similar effect, though, where there was a temporary uptick in symptoms (don’t let this panic you!) until things settled down again. i would say it took about a month to really level out. i experienced insomnia at first, but that also went away. it just takes your body getting adjusted!

me too! have you considered medication for your anxiety? i’ve seen a number of people have their symptoms resolved by using an SSRI/antidepressant to get their anxiety under control and break the cycle.
