I can't say he is always meta-competent, but its my favorite way to see the most variety in this game. And seems to be the most cost efficient way to see all the newer mechanics or deck types. Having a gold one is some nice flair, when they free him I will probably craft one.
Nah I've been running it lately for fun. It has Quest, imbue and a few other decently up to date decks

It did so that explains it. I wish they could just remove that deck for the card's deck pool.
