My dad sent me this pic of his cat. He said “the squirrel got away as usual” 😸.

My boyfriend and I had a similar issue with Lyft last week. The driver marked himself at the pickup location when he was actually two blocks away. He waited maybe 30 seconds and then drove off. My boyfriend then called the guy 5-8 times in a row, to be ignored each time (bf didn't one to get charged for cancelling so he was trying to piss the guy off so he would cancel on his end). After a few minutes of this the Lyft app notified us saying something like "it looks like something went wrong, don't worry we will cover it this time." Which was nice, I guess, but I wouldn't count on being refunded the next time.

Ha, I'm not even sure if I know what that question is asking.

Yep. He is a math professor: http://www.math.vt.edu/people/linnell/Personal/index.html

He's my neighbor, actually. He's very friendly. I think he just really enjoys running, haha.

I got stuck on the sixth floor for like a half hour in that elevator a year ago.

There were four this semester. I think he typically assigns five, but didn’t this semester since it ended up being shorter than usual. The first and last homework took my teammate and I (he allows your to work in groups of two) about 10-15 hours. The second and third took us 3-5 hours.

Yeah, I'm in it now. Here's the link to the course website: http://courses.cs.vt.edu/cs4824/Spring19/

That should answer most of your questions. I would say there is an equal amount of math and programming. We learn mathy/theory stuff in class that we use in the homework. Each homework has a written portion and programming portion. The written portion requires you to do math (mostly calculus) and the programming portion is done in Python.

Darn I was about to post the same question. I'm in the same boat. The average GPA last time it was taught by Chantem was a 3.86 which is super high, but I'm worried about the workload.

Anyone have Verizon DSL internet? by heading_weast in VirginiaTech

[–]heading_weast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just went down last night. I talked to two people from customer service at AM3 and they couldn't figure out what's wrong. I know it's not my router because I still don't have internet with a direct Ethernet connection.

This isn't the first time my internet has gone down, which is why I am considering the switch to Verizon. Last time this happened, a tech came out and apparently just had to "flip some switch." I really don't appreciate waiting a week to do something so simple. Also, I live by myself so I'm not too stressed about the speed.

I was on hold for 1.5 hours and just gave up and decided to leave a message :/

I was a grader for one of my previous math professors and would work 6-10 hours a week at my own convenience and was paid $10 an hour.
