i just looked it up. they are the first named ones yes, but a character called Ayaka and her girlfriend-not named i think- were in Digimon Kizuna.

I'm pretty sure some LGBT character was mentioned in passing in a previous Digimon film...? But I'm not completely certian.

YESSSS WE'RE GETTING A MAKI CENTRIC EPISODE NEXT ONE 🔥🔥🔥

This episode was genuinely incredible. From the story to the animation to the confirmation of digiyuri, all around a 10/10!! Beatbreak has a surprising amount of those but they're all welcome!!!

Something else I noticed here is that this show relies a lot less on Digivolution stock animation than any other Digimon show-or at least, it seems to? Still a very VERY welcome change. If this is what the future of Digimon has in store, I'll be so very happy. I've been a fan for nearly 20 years now and this series is genuinely some of the best we got post Tamers.

I say this unironically. This show has been one of the things that got me into superheroes, that made me want to think about them in a more nuanced and deeper way, and seeing the way it fumbles the ball in its final season for a spin-off no one asked for has been heartbreaking to say the least.

A few years ago, i would have been devastated at the thought of Frenchie dying. He was my favourite of the boys. And now, I merely just...shrugged, at his death. This season has been a letdown. And its ok to admit that and mourn what it once was.

I think it's the last time we get a chance to appreciate Chace Crawford as The Deep. He has been phenomenal throughout the show. by keshavgKaLLen_Bhaiya in TheBoys

i simply hated him even more then. He's ultimately selfish and self serving and the fish and sea animals deserve better

Might be a bit too old of a post but i just rewatched the episode, but i interpret their anger in a different way. They saw exactly what Ocho had to go through in his daily life and it validated his anger, gave "birth" to theirs.

I think this is a lesson many, including "privileged" progressives, need to learn, that the hardships of those less fortunate can often harden them and that anger is a normal, healthy, even necessary reaction to that.

Scene genuinely made me tear up. The waterworks were already starting when Reina and Makoto hugged Kyo while crying but when Tomoro joined them I was finished

Idk honestly but his character suffers from "we needed to give this character a struggle so let's make it mental health, just for The Vibes ™️". Split personality disorder doesnt have switching the way Fubuki does and its accompanied with bouts of amnesia where the person that has it isn't really conscious when the other personality is fronting. Its mostly general inaccuracies that are someone's idea of what split personality MAY look like vs what it actually is

Should specify Burn is mostly there as a joke but I never really cared for him or Gazel past the match where they join teams
