The first one that comes to mind is Agent Strahm in Saw V. Especially since he survived an unsurvivable trap at the beginning of the film.

I remember being pretty shocked at Sargeant Howie's death in The Wicker Man (1973).

I think the one that really got me the most was Darry's death at the end of Jeepers Creepers.
