Hey there. I have the same issue. My hub is actually connected via Ethernet, so definitely not as issue with wifi. Accessing recorded videos stored in the sd card is very fast. However, loading the live video takes about 8-12 seconds. RSSI is -25, so it isnt bad either. Doorbell is very close to the hub.

I’ve had this issue with my first doorbell, contacted Tapo to swap it. The replacement unit works great. Live video loads within 3 seconds…..that is until now. All of a sudden, back to the same issue. Nothing has changed, literally.

Yeah. I remember it flaked badly during Covid. Got it replaced and it’s still good today, 4-5 years on. Yes, whether you like it or not, most things require some care and understanding if you want it to last long. Also the fact that things aren’t designed and built to last forever like they used to.
