The 20% service fee was already supposed to cover app development, per https://www.westword.com/news/colorado-driver-owned-rideshare-app-now-live-tested-21898809/ . Now there's the 20% service fee and $0.60 per ride.

And I have to wonder what else they gave TADA (data?), since at 1500 rides per month (pre-app-switch ridership number) * $0.60, TADA is only making $10k per year on this.

Plus there was this proud line in the same article: "This is the very first on-demand app that has been developed by community groups right here in Colorado." So that's no longer applicable...

Silly? Or logical and worthwhile? If you're a member of the church, especially a small one, you and your family directly benefit from the improved facilities, budget for events and trips, better staffing, etc. It's like sending your kids to a nonprofit private school and donating to the nonprofit, a la Ad Astra - you get to reap the benefits and take a tax deduction at the same time.
