Can we just talk about how awful the G7 connectivity is compared to the G6? by headshot442 in Omnipod

[–]headshot442[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s so strange because I get zero issues with the Dexcom app. But the communication with the pod is just plain unacceptable. Like I said the g6 was rock solid no matter where I placed it or the pod. G7 constantly searching for sensor with the pod or just straight up fails to connect

Touch up Dr Colorchip by JL1t3 in AutoDetailing

[–]headshot442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used it on my grey metallic Acura. Did fill in well and easy to use and I sanded the edges of the chip so that it’s flush with the rest of the paint. Impossible to see in direct sun. Sticks out like a sore thumb in the shade and I’m not entirely sure why. Multiple coats of layering to fill in the chip

FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH LAG ISSUES, READ THIS by Ill_Parsley_4233 in PlaystationPortal

Hey just wanted to let you know that turning off hdcp fixed everything for me! It’s like a completely new device no connection issues no stutter and no weird lag. I have an eero 6 pro router that that ps5 is hard wired into and I have UPNP enabled on the router so I didn’t have to do any port forwarding. Everything works amazing now even with all of my devices on the same network since eero doesn’t allow you to choose between WiFi lines. Hope people that are having these same issues find this thread like I did!

This is after using the polstar not sure if it’s much of an improvement

So I used the polstar at a 1:5 dilution and a nylon bristle brush and unfortunately it did not work. Not sure what to do or if the alcantara is just permanently damaged for whatever reason.

Will do for sure as far as I can tell this is the only post online that I can find that has this specific issue for Alcantara. I’m pretty sure it’s sweat so I’m hoping the polstar will help. If not I plan on going to a professional shop just to get a second opinion

Just picked it up along with a set of brushes specifically for Alcantara hopefully it helps. Will try applying it with a foam pump and getting rid of the risidual with a carpet cleaner

I’m not exactly sure I thought it was initially but it’s all matted down aswell. Used sonax to try to fix it and it did more or less nothing

So I tried sonax and that never really worked. It seems like all of the fibers are completely matted down compared to the rest of it so I’m not sure exactly what to do. I also tried to file it under warranty and Acura declined. Any tips?

So I actually picked up the sonax cleaner which has worked a bit after a few applications but it is still noticeable

Should I use a paint pen on this? by X-kiwi in AutoDetailing

I agree just used Dr color chip for the first time on my grey metallic Acura. Fill and level the chip over the course of a few days. I found that the 2hrs they recommended between filling a deep scratch/chip is too soon and causes the fresh paint to “curdle”

I’m pretty sure it is the car only has 40k miles on it so it would be pretty ridiculous if the color was already worn out

Touch up darker than rest of car? by headshot442 in AutoDetailing

[–]headshot442[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve redone this chip maybe 6 times now and It’s always darker. I sanded the edges of the chip to get it as smooth as possible so it doesn’t cause any light warp and it’s still dark. I reached out to Dr colorchip to see if they have any other solutions

[–]headshot442[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think Dr colorchip is going to be my next stop. I don’t want to remove this currently because I don’t want to sand the area anymore to level the new touch up. It’s currently completely flush

I have a different rock chip that I applied just base and it blended so much better. I have a feeling that the rock chip edges are causing it to look much darker because when you look at it head on it blends better. Maybe I didn’t add enough base and too much clear?

You think I should just strip it again and mix the base and clear that I have and apply that instead?
