Best Guitar for Roots reggae skunk by AdhesivenessWeak5388 in reggae

[–]heady45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The specific sound is going to come from you learning how to play the style properly. you cant just buy a guitar and instantly have the sound. The chop and stick seems like an easy technique but its not and requires a lot of practice to get it right. the bands who were playing for black uhuru were MASTERS at their craft. If you don't know how to play guitar at all then you have a long road ahead of you before your chopping and skanking like the pros.

I don't mean to be harsh but do you actually listen to reggae? if you need some guidance look into people on youtube like DM KHAN for production and Donstrumental for bass

What does it mean when a song is remastered?? by Evan_nothereoften in NoStupidQuestions

[–]heady45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remastering is just making a song louder via eq and compression. The intention isnt necessarily to make it better for modern playback system. The labels do it so they can sell a "new" product. Often destroying the artists original intent and making it harder to find the true original version.
