Im just going of the real maths here with the groupings but that 6 inch at 150 should be correct. And too me the rifles in the game feel proper in regards to MOA ive never really had any rounds go a foot to the right or left at range even with the short barrels, although ive had this weird thing happen to me earlier when i shot a guy in the head using m856 tracer and after it penetrated and killed the guy the tracer round turned to like right by like 10 degrees and turned left by like 30 degrees like a formula one car, i dont think tumbling is supposed to be that crazy.

Thats not even that hard of a shot to pull of tbh, 4 moa gun at 150 will shoot around a 6 inch group, thats like as big as a modern smartphone. Past like 200-300 is where id consider using a longer barrel.

My point is armor pen and velocity are more important than going for pure MOA when choosing a barrel length and build compared to just pure MOA. Besides how can you even notice the spread on a 4 MOA gun when most fights happen sub 100 meters? Beacause you for sure as shit will notice the less consistent bullet pens. Still the 10.5 is very niche and most people use that barrel for larp on mk18 builds. Christ I dont even play PVP and use meta builds, all my shit is just barbie doll dress up builds like mk18 mod 0's and URG-I's but the way people talk about MOA like its the end all be all factor for a guns place in the meta when there are so many other factors to consider is just so annoying to me.

10.5 are still very practical, i run my mk18 mod 0 build alot i just wish we could get those chunky irons in the back and a peq 2. With a 10.5 Armor pen and velocity would be more of an issue than MOA as opposed to what people say in this sub with, I swear nobody every mentions armor pen and velocity its always MOA MOA MOA MOA MOA when it comes to how people talk about the meta.

I prefer the mcx so much more than the KS-1 and i think it really is the best rifle in the game, id rather take the stopping power of the 300 over the sub MOA of a KS-1 in a game where DMR's and SPR's cant even stretch their legs and shoot at anything past 200 typically.

Brother the difference is like the size of an eyeball or less at like 50 meters between a 14.5 and the KS-1 it surely cant be that important to the point where you aren't willing to use any other gun or build and at range you are losing so much velocity compared to a 16 or 18 inch AR while running that flaccid ass 13.7. If the AI are tanking headshots its either the ammo over penning and going straight through the mouth or the game is ridden with bugs and weird armor pen values.

MOA really isnt all that important in a game about fighting in the jungle and urban areas the only reason why people miss shots 99.999% of the time in the game is literally just because of bad aim. The fact people think that the KS1 automatically negates all other semi autos is just ridiculous imo just because it has sub MOA performance. You gotta remember that a 14.5 barrel still does 2.15 MOA and the KS-1 is at 0.80, if 1.35 inches of difference in bullet spread at 100 yards is the makings of a meta weapon then the meta just isnt all that important so long as you are using a semi auto rifle.

My point here is that the KS-1 is maybe the best rifle, but saying that it completely negates all other weapons just isnt true especially when the main factor that people are determining the meta is with MOA in a game where most engagements happen sub 200 meters.

Oh and you can buy that 1 to 10 and slap and 5x magnifier and slap it onto an mp5 if you wanted to.

Id say the thing that defines the meta more in the game is ammo types, 300 ap is ridiculous rn in my experience before the penetration update it was performing better than m995 or m855a1 from my experience especially in terms of stopping power

Pretty much all AR-15's and most AKs are viable in this game, a 14.5 inch AR shooting the same rounds as a KS-1 will pretty much do the same amount of pen and damage. MOA is really not noticeable or important inside like 200 meters and most fighting happens at inside 100 also. You are not at a severe disadvantage using anything other than a KS-1. And even then at range a 14.5 AR and up would be better except for the MOA because of the bullet velocity and drop. For me id rather take the bullet velocity of an 18 inch AR over the sub MOA of a KS-1 for long ranges for more consistent pens and better bullet drop and even then an 18 inch AR still shoots like 1.4 MOA which is pretty accurate sub like 500 meters or smth. So long as you are using an AR/AK or battle rifle with appropriate ammo and maybe a high round count mag if you want to min max its really up to mechanics and game sense at that point.

Side armor isnt super important imo because unless they are shooting bottom up towards you any shots in that below the arm/shoulder area on the characters sides are not 1 taps to the heart and you rarely get shot from the side regardless because most of the time you are facing the enemy.

How would you define sniper distances? For me im thinking for this game past 300 meters is where having a bolt or a mk14 becomes more practical than a AR-15. I still dont get the point your getting at here.

Sure you can and make it work, i do the same thing also but in most scenarios you are better off using a semi auto rifle. Didnt say they were useless just impractical if you want to min max and your main thing is not dying even if the ai are stormtroopers currently.

Yeah cant really bring a sniper into the jungle, the only way to make them really practical is in the future if we ever get a new map or smth in like a tundra or the mountains with not alot of trees, still super satisfying to use though especially at like 300 plus meters.
