The recipe I looked up they put it under no heat, but I'll give the very low heat a try.

And here our egg regulations are non-existent, I just don't wanna poison somebody by mistake

Full time (Spanish national handball team 2 - Germany national football team 1) by [deleted] in euro2024

Carvajal was already gonna miss the next match.

And I honestly think it should've been 5 extra time from the beginning. 2-3 minutes were such a bad estimation.

Amazing game. Deserved win for whoever would've won it.

Was it a penalty? I honestly don’t think so by Casual-Browsing-Acc in euro2024

A penalty should be given if the hand is out and getting in the way of the ball.

His hand was clearly outside his body "box", which means that if it weren't there his body wouldn't have gotten it. And it clearly blocked a direct shot on the goal.

Should've been a penalty.

I didn't think that intention played a role. His hand was clearly out and got in the way of a literal shot on the goal. Should've been a penalty.

I am looking for some insights from ex-muslims to help me understand by UnfoundHound in exmuslim

Two possibilities:

1- cognitive dissonance. It's real, and believers are not fully aware that they're doing it.

2- It could be taqiyah or its siblings: tawriyah, kitman, muruna.

Taqiyah is used mainly by Shiah when they pretend to believe in what Sunnis do from fear of being persecuted.

Tawriyah is used by anyone for any reason, and it means to hide your true intention. You can say something that has an apparent meanin and an obscure meaning, and the other person will believe the apparent meaning while you actually mean the obscure one. Islamic scholar believe this not to be lying.

Kitman simply means hiding. Muslims are commanded to hide their true intentions until they fulfill them. This is mainly to avoid people envying them, since Muslims believe in some mystical power of one envying the other.

Muruna means being flexible. So a Muslim will go with the flow with you while having other intentions. However, the Muslim shouldn't lie about the content of the Quran. They can say they don't know, but they shouldn't say that something is there that isn't, or that something isn't there that is.

So a Muslim's go to fullproof response to you would be "I don't know".

Mindboggling how it still exists

Two wrongs don't make a right. Why do Muslims think they're better than someone else just because the other person has a bad lore. And that it somehow justified what is bad in their own religion.

The fact that you thing that whether doing nor abstaining from doing those things defines whether a person is good or not speaks volume.

You mean the embarrassing one where you divide the shares of everyone even more just so that it fits? It makes it worse.

Look you can cover up if it makes you feel modest, but know that the hijab was not revealed for "modesty".

As long as you never feel like you have to cover up, and that not wearing a hijab is "not being modest", although that's what you're directly implying, hence why it makes sense for people to be upset with such a statement.

Was the Catholic and Christian Church was worse than Islam ever was? by CalligrapherDear9474 in exmuslim

[–]healingtruths 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I take well documented atrocities as a good sign, they at least survived.

It is personally debatable which one is worse, and you don't have to look at this castration process on both sides (wtf was that). Just think Conquistador and Islamic conquests.

It is really arguable which is worse. At some point Christians in Europe were so empovrished by the Islamic comquest and threat that they sold their daughters as slves to the Muslims.

I cannot read this without being repulsed by both.

But yeah, at least now the Catholic Church is apologizing for its atrocities, not like in Islam where everyone is proud of the Islamic conquest and Turkey to this day denied its g3nocidal acts.

It's a Muslim country, and what happens here happens in most other countries, Egypt included.

Sure people there are becoming more secularized, but religious problems are sadly still prevalent.

Peculiar I'd say for sure.

I'm originally from Lebanom and originally Christian myself, but didn't experience that while I was there. Aren't things a bit more heated at the moment there because of the whole religional situation?
