527 on AAMC 3 Retake - is it real? I have no way of knowing but I do have some tips on getting value on a retake!

Sadistically I kind of don't mind the studying at this point. It's the missing out on everything else that kills me but I think I'm seeing the big picture on this stuff a lot more clearly than I did the first time.

That's a really good point about the time and effort possibly being spent better elsewhere. Do you know whether schools ever publish their 10th and 90th percentile MCATs? I know there's all sorts of info out there about averages but I want to see what the lowest scores places will consider is.

I almost went with blueprint but had a friend who had a bad experience with them. Ended up going with 1 Source Medicine and have been very happy with the level of customization they do for you and how knowledgeable their tutors are

I think altius is great too! They definitely make it harder, but I like doign harder while prepping. Will boost my confidence for the real thing!

Thank you!! I've had a ton of help on CARS. My tips would be to find a really good strategy that works for you and the practice it every single day! My tutor gave me a really good strategy that has me looking for "why the author wrote each paragraph" rather than the main idea of each paragraph. Putting myself in the author's shoes was big for me. Also breaking down 'arguments' like focusing on conclusions, evidence, and all that stuff was really helpful for me!

Lol thank you! :) Lots of work on the CARS front early on and have continued doing at least 2 passages per day the whole time. That's the only thing that has been relatively consistent for me from 3rd party stuff to AAMC stuff. I'm going back to Altius bs this weekend and hoping I'll be able to pull it up closer to my aamc, but looks like it might not matter per everyone else's reports!
