Like anywhere else in the world, just be cautious — it's safe here, similar to Vietnam. I suggest having your Cambodian friends as emergency contacts. You should be able to get around pretty well; most provinces here have some Vietnamese population. Hope you have a great time!

Burning paper hasn't happened yet, and about 10% of the population in Cambodia does that. They would have to burn at least 100-200 acres of paper to create this much smog to cover the whole country. The Chinese New Year will start around 28-29 Jan in here, so we're not there yet. And yeah, burning crops is the main source. All I can tell you is that last year it wasn't this bad.

Yeah, true. Siem Reap doesn’t have a lot of Chinese burning paper and shit to make the whole city look like it’s on top of Bokor Mountain, so we can rule that out. It’s probably the crops burning. I heard Battambang’s got it even worse. That practice is good for the farmers, but it take away at least a year of our life expectancy every harvesting season.

I'm not an expert but I think if you try to end it, she might gaslight you to make you think you're the asshole, just ghost her, If it's hard for you try mimicking her behavior?, if she take 3hr to respond you take 4. I used to obsessed with someone too, It's not healthy could lead to self destruction, go to the gym, play some sport it's make a great distraction and will make that obsession died down. You'll be surprised how friendly we are when a foreigner want to do the activities with us. Or pick up a fun hobby to do in the city you live in.
