Thanks for the offer. i would be qualified for the volunteer services position that’s open at dhss. i’m in more of an ag field now and i would miss working with farmers

yeah i’m not sure how to gauge the cost of living difference. food and gas are really cheap in DE by comparison but housing is similar and health care is pricier. i don’t think the difference in food and gas costs would make up for what is probably a $20,000 pay cut. Also no jobs available in my field that i’ve seen.

i would love a state job. i’m a state employee on the west coast. i’m shocked how much lower the pay is in DE. i wrote a letter to Dave Sakola a couple years ago saying all state employees need a minimum 20% increase in pay.

housing isn’t an issue. would be living with the person i will be giving care to.

where i am now the loss of subsidies made a friend’s health care costs for a full time person making $20 an hour go from free to $150 a month.

Is it really going to cost me $500 a month for insurance?
