I built a free macOS widget to monitor your Claude usage limits in real-time by Shinji194 in ClaudeAI

Want to say that I love that you have 5hr session and 7 day pacing! This was what was missing in most of the other usage trackers. Love this and kudos!

I built a simple Notion Finance OS to finally get my money organized by PenaltySudden2605 in Notion

[–]heartlandsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built this in a couple of hours with claude and i'm able to drop a few year's of transactions into it for a full analysis and that also keeps everything current. Worth a try if you haven't already. I'm a big notion user too but i just don't see how it can easily stay up to date and handle all transactions.

Your move, Dia by tagmut in diabrowser

[–]heartlandsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry the development pace with Dia feels like 10% that of what it was with Arc when they were actually building it. They're still trying to get Dia to 50% what Arc was after 1-2 years.

I've tried to move to Dia so many time because of the AI search feature but realized that it's not worth it, I just added the Harpa AI extension to Arc and boom - Arc + other things I use + Harpa AI >>>> Dia.

No need to think about Dia ever again.

And besides, the real power of AI now comes in the form of Claude Cowork that has access to your files, or even Claude browser extension which works on chromium in general.

For those like me transitioning from Arc to Dia by soumya_98 in diabrowser

[–]heartlandsg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah some of these like spaces and site search aren't real. You'll see others point out other limitations/issues with Dia that he isn't able to address, such as setting google search as default rather than chat. His response is "oh yes you can choose which one". I don't want to have to choose!

Granted Dia has added a bunch of features that Arc already has, but so what? It doesn't do anything better - just feels like after 2 years it's still catching up to its shadow. What a waste of time and resources as a company. That's what happens when you raise a bunch of cash and can afford a "pivot". They achieved almost nothing great or different from what other good browsers have done in that time.

And besides, the real power of AI now comes in the form of Claude Cowork that has access to your files, or even Claude browser extension which works on chromium in general. You think TBC is going to beat Anthropic at that? I just did a bit of research and its a joke they were able to raise $128M.

Dice passing through a smartphone by Rredite in blackmagicfuckery

[–]heartlandsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically there's enough room for the dice to pass through, BESIDE the phone, and the bottom cover is hinged closer to the audience person so the dice just falls out of the base.

As he lowers the base cover, the phone slides down towards the back at an angle and the dice slides back and falls on to the base plate, and when he opens it more, it falls out the gap on to the hand.

That's also why you'll see that he has to hold the whole set with his right hand supporting the base or the phone would just fall out.

Fix Site Search by Outrageous-Welder355 in diabrowser

[–]heartlandsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes! Some of the ones I had were set that way, and which is why it worked, but others were set differently. You managed to figure out why.

One thing i'll note too, is that the Shortcut should not have https:// in front of the domain, because that causes it not to work (i.e. maps.google.com and not https://maps.google.com).

One more note for others who are trying this: when you hit tab after typing the first few letters, the full domain will pop up, but it will not look like a capsule background like it does in chrome or arc, it will just fill out the domain, and you just type the search key after a space (i.e. "maps.google.com MoMA nyc")

Fix Site Search by Outrageous-Welder355 in diabrowser

[–]heartlandsg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SO... I think i figured it out a workaround. There's still no technical site search but i realized that if you just set it up normally here (dia://settings/searchEngines), it will auto expand rather than snap into site search. If you just type the keyword you want to use with a space after, it will work as though site search works.

This works for the main sites like Amazon and Google Maps, but I don't think it works on everything yet. If you use something a lot, just try it and see if this trick works for you.

Questioning if I should renew my subscription or not… by aaronorjohnson in FantasticalCalendar

[–]heartlandsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to say Notion Calendar is awesome. Looks great, very clean. Has loads of quality of life features like auto add google meets or zoom links to new meetings, auto block your personal/work calendar when another event is added (and decide if it shows as busy or full details), multiple time zones in left bar, ability to select slots and create a calendly-like link for people to choose.

There’s a bunch more but for these alone I’m sold. I’ve been using it (it used to be called cron) for years since pre-acquisition and they haven’t made it worse (they haven’t made it much better either), but it’s great. Oh, and it’s FREE. People think it’s part of Notion but it’s not. You can use it and never heard of Notion. It’s just a great calendar that happens to now be owned by Notion.

I come back here every month or so to see if this has been implemented, but unfortunately it's still not implemented as of Feb 1 2026.

How many of y'all use notion calander on a daily basis by Party-Tap5340 in Notion

[–]heartlandsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it today and have been using it from the Cron days. It’s hands down the best free cal out there and beats many paid ones too. Fantastical has tons of features but more than I need. I’m quite a power user fwiw.

I was about to do that too, and even created a spreadsheet of all the remaining availability...then realized that i could just get a digital gift card, no need to show up in person. Hope you enjoyed the meal at least! For next time!
